I'm predicting 2009 to be the Wii's peak year in terms of hardware sales, but I don't think you'll see too much of a dropoff in Wii sales until 2012.

I think that is impossible to answer until we get a chance to see the impact of motion plus. For my money, it's going to be a whole new ball game; as big a leap from the current Wiimote as the Wiimote was a leap from the old thumb wiggler pads.

that means they can sell it while nintendo supports it but it looks like AAA third parties are going ps360.

I doubt next year will see any significant dropoff, people are still buying it and there's no reason why they are gonna stop in the near future.

From my understanding the wii sales are down this in year in Japan. The wii sales have also lowered in NA over the past two months or something. And i'm not sure about Europe.

Wow the Wii has steam? Does that mean I can get half-life 2 on it?

Edit: And I think you'll be looking at a PS2eque lifetime for the Wii, so it will last as a significant force till around 2013.
