whatever, probably none of MGS4 and GTAIV deserves more than 8. Too many biased and hyped reviews, and all that exclusive reviews out there.

Can't say that is true; GTA SA had far more sandbox type features from more vechs to customizable characters; GTA IV had as much customization as VC; less vechs than SA and prob the same as VC and better graphics. And what gameplay depth? Other than the cover system its the same as all the others(Not that the cover system helped; ducking and getting insta headshots was far superior), and for the love of god don't say the story had depth it was the same as all the others(revenge) without the money incentive.
I do agree neither game deserves a 10 but GTA IV is not better than MGS4 at all. It was a graphics upgrade and almost nothing more when you factor in what features were added and which got cut out.
Don't worry. The hype will settle down.
I remember a month back when everyone on these forums were saying, "GTA4 BEST GAME EVAR 12/10!!!" Now, the official line seems to be, "GTA4 didn't deserve all of those perfect scores, since it has its share of significant flaws."
Now, everyone is saying, "MGS4 BEST GAME EVAR FIFTY BAJILLION/10!!!!!"

I think GTA recieving so many perfect reviews despite many flaws has really hurt MGS4's reputation as it's recieving tens as well, so people assume the same issues must be present.
I've played both alot, and I'll say this: I've sold GTAIV, while the only thing keeping me from playing through MGS4 again is the fact I've exams this week.
That's my own experience, no need for scores; developers fail to realise it's the opinion of the consumer that matters the most. The consumer fails to realise that reviews are SUBJECTIVE!

You dont have to watch cutscenes, and you can have over 20 hours of gameplay its your choice to explore the environments, there are many hidden gems in the game.
