I think GTA recieving so many perfect reviews despite many flaws has really hurt MGS4's reputation as it's recieving tens as well, so people assume the same issues must be present.
I've played both alot, and I'll say this: I've sold GTAIV, while the only thing keeping me from playing through MGS4 again is the fact I've exams this week.
That's my own experience, no need for scores; developers fail to realise it's the opinion of the consumer that matters the most. The consumer fails to realise that reviews are SUBJECTIVE!
