Forums - Sales Discussion - The DS has 50 one million sellers. (Will we ever get MP:H Other's sales?)

If Jump Ultimate Stars have a release outside of Japan will be a million seller guaranted, is the best game on DS.

I find it weird how people say the 'Imagine' games shouldn't be counted. Ubisoft targeted the female audience and it paid off. Yeah we're guys and some don't understand how a game like Imagine: Babyz can outsell Metroid, but we're not the only gamers out there. And no those games aren't as good as Nintendogs or Animal Crossing, but they deserve to be up there just as much as any other one.

Too bad it never will since that game has a boat load of manga franchises that have not been released here yet and tons of licenses.

During its financial results briefing Nintendo stated 57 titles shipped over 1 million units so far, 29 first party titles and 28 third party titles (Pokemon titles are included in first party titles). So you're probably missing some titles.

 sold to consumers =/= shipped

VGChartz tracks sold to consumer. Nintendo, as well as Sony and Microsoft, only just track shipped.

That is pretty good but then you see a console like X360 who haves 41 million sellers sounds a hell lot more impressive considering the huge difference between the two..Oh well I know what you will say Handhelds/Consoles.

thats very impressive for a hand-held

Yeah... Oh well... I guess I'll just have to play it in Japanese and miss out on the story...

While true, that isn't the difference here. The difference is entirely missing data for games in one or more regions.

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

Congrats for the DS ... its a real software pusher :)
