Forums - Sales - Famitsu Sales: Sept 14, 2026 - Sept 20, 2026. (Week 38)

Switch 2 back in the 30's with a good opening from Fortune's Weave considering the install base and higher digital ratio nowadays. The Switch 1 has a low week due to the Lite dropping for some reason and depending on how things go the YoY drops for it could be very large for the last stretch of the year. Could also end up big for the PS5 some weeks though that has 44-46 to help.

I personally think it’s sad to see that the creation of games is getting more costly, but gamers don’t think that consoles or games should be sold more expensive. Sad because that means the industry is less profitable.

Didn't expect that big of a hardware boost from Fire Emblem, pleasantly surprised.

Very good software sales for it too, given its higher price point and digital being bigger now than when Engage and Three Houses came out, it may well have outsold those two overall.

Pretty modest opening for Wolverine. How did the Spiderman games fare in Japan?

Signature goes here!

More Fire Emblem data.

Spider-Man 2018 opened at 132k, Miles Morales was 41k, and Spider-Man 2 77k.

I think Spider-Man has a much bigger name in Japan compared to Wolverine. That may be true in say, North America, as well, but I expect the gap to be wider, percentage-wise in Japan. They had a Spider-Man TV show, but I've never seen anything to suggest that the Japanese really like Wolverine or the X-Men.

Need to be a little more honest in this post. NS2 also has a smaller user base with the launch of FW vs the launch of TH. Also, the chances of digital being a lot higher for the launch of FW vs the launch of TH should be higher as its also priced cheaper.
