Now that we have a pretty good idea of what the remakes entails, how much do you see it selling lifetime, and why?

No way it's selling less than 10m if skyward sword HD is close to 5m

Anecdotally I know 3 people who have only played BOTW & TOTK who are picking this up. One hasn't been completed TOTK yet...

To the general gaming public this the next big Zelda thing. It's sales potential will be hurt by being a remake of an N64 game gameplay wise but then nostalgia + the movie will make it overperform.

Hard to say as traditional Zelda games peaked in sales with the original Ocarina of Time until BotW happened.

My ultimate hope is that with the now tens of millions of new Zelda fans since BotW, they’ll be more willing to give this game a try. Because while not many may have heard of Skyward Sword, they’ve definitely heard of Ocarina of Time. It’s just one of those legendary games in the history of gaming that transcends, well, time.

Game will be available for at least the next couple of decades. Most likely via the eshop, so I’m hoping in the long run, it’ll reach at least 15 million copies, if not more.

Yeah if Skyward Sword HD, a much less ambitious adaption of a far less revered game sold like 4m+ in under a year, I can't see Ocarina doing less than 10m, it's one of the most beloved games of all time and the overhaul is far more impressive.

I think it will get close to 10M but ultimately fall short. I voted 5-10M.

It will be over 10 million, and maybe around 15 million units. I think 14 million units or so getting close to the combined sales of the N64 and 3DS releases is pretty likely.
