Capcom, Fromsoft, Nintendo, Sony, Sq Enix, Atlus, Bandai Namco, Sega, Team Ninja, Kojima
Easy win for the east, at least for me, and by a landslide.

Western games: Drab, self important and tries to be edgy
Eastern games: Colorful, quirky and solves things with the power of friendship
(generalisations I know, but with borad strokes this holds true)
Guess what I voted for
Despite my avatar easily western games. I love stuff like Ace Attorney and Danganronpa but overall my favourite games are mostly western and that's especially the case for my favourite indie games. Over the past few months I played through the entire Doom series for the first time and had a great time doing that with Eternal in particular being amazing and having some of the best gameplay I've ever experienced. For media animation is where the east, particularly Japan is in a league of its own.
Western Games, mainly in the 90's to 2010's. Mass Effect, Skyrim, NFS, Burnout, SSX, Crash, Spyro, Uncharted.
I'm kind of disillusioned with modern gaming though.
Looking at some of my favorite companies, let's see:
Retro - been a while since I loved Prime
Rare - a shell of its former self
Naughty Dog - Uncharted 4 was ten years ago, haven't liked anything since
Irrational Games - R.I.P.
On the other hand, Nintendo and Capcom are my two favorite companies and have constantly knocked it out of the park, with Platinum and Team Asobi making up for Sega, Namco and especially Konami slipping over the years.
Of course there are good games from both but it's an easy win for Eastern games for me.
Japanese games have always been my favorite. But I cut my teeth on NES so that's probably to be expected.
No clear preference for me. My favourite games ever are probably Final Fantasy X and Metal Gear Solid 2, which are Japanese, but after that, most of my favourites are Western. I love Hideo Kojima's games though, even recently, so it's not all Western. Also, I don't really have much/any experience with non-Japanese Eastern games yet, so I don't really have an opinion about them.
I like a few Western series like Fallout and Cyberpunk. I also like sims like No Man’s Sky or Cities Skylines.
Otherwise, Team Japan all the way.

Note that this isn't just Japan, the East also includes countries like China (Black Myth Wu Kong, Genshin Impact, Where Winds Meet, etc) and Korea. (Stellar Blade, Dave the Diver, Lies of P, Crimson Desert)
Easily Western games for me, I've generally never been a fan of Eastern games.
