I wonder how cheap it was to produce this game?

You're talking a core 2hour gameplay loop with very minimal animations and still quite basic level design (Gorgeous as it looks)

Probably why Nintendo invested so much in the cutscenes etc. And this is not a complaint at all, just appreciating that this is probably the cheapest tite they produced in years besides Welcome Tour and Drag x Drive etc

I doubt its that cheap.

Like there's no way this is costing less than like the Advance Wars remake or possibly even something like Clubhouse Games.

Graphics this good aren't cheap.

Thanks for the update!

I'm impressed that it still holds up even on first person. Actually, it kind of highlights the atmosphere. Plus, the laser beams lighting bounce is pretty fantastic.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

For some reason, I am really looking forward to this game. Even though I've played the N64 version like a thousand times.

A free demo containing one of the opening missions is out now!

Just tried the demo. The controls are so messed up. You can't do the bomb and homing blast combo anymore because you have to release the laser charge button to reach the bomb button. The C-Stick is way too sensitive. And you can't change the control setup at all. Where's my gyro-aiming at? Gyro-aiming would have made flying in one direction and shooting in another direction possible. Voice acting for the original Starfox was iconic and classic. I miss some of the old lines, especially how the bosses would die screaming at you.

I'll still buy it, but man, they are really phoning this one in.

I'll buy it just for the cutscenes alone. I am curious as to why Falco has such a bent beak in this one. Looks really weird and out of place.

falco's beak is literally the only reason im buying this game. as soon as i saw that i preordered it

Mfw I read this after seeing people complaining specifically about that more than anything on Zero for years. I always said the gyro controls were fine, the forced use of the Gamepad screen was the problem, but for everyone else, the gyro was problem apparently.

Gryo aiming was not optional in SF Zero? People often say that mouse and keyboard dominates in FPS, but IMO Gyro + two control sticks is absolutely insane. Being able to move on two axis and fire on another independent axis is nuts. You can look in one direction, move in another direction, and fire in a third direction all at the same time. And Gyro is so much faster to aim than using a mouse!
