Nate was right once again.
I kinda wish they had remade Star Fox 1 and Star Fox 2 (SNES) with these modern graphics too, 64 is my favorite SF game but I've played it quite a bit. Will still be buying day 1. The online stuff looks neat.
I think we are officially into a new Nintendo era too ... this is the Movie/Hollywood era. Release windows, marketing, and chosen products orbit around big movie releases now it seems like. They timed this unveil after the Galaxy movie's Golden Week in Japan, it shows you everything is timed now to go along with the movies.
Remember the first Mario movie they had no idea it would be such a huge hit. Now they know, and it looks like a lot of their software side is going to revolve around the movies.
Even with this release too you can see they're making a bigger emphasis on the cinematic cutscenes to boot (which is kind of a funny new direction for Nintendo relative to the N64 era) probably to attract kids who are watching the movies. And that'll probably continue in 2027 we have a Zelda movie and in 2028 it sounds like we have a Donkey Kong movie coming.
