But... wtf are they turning Resident Evil into this time? Seems like the movies are really focused on not being like the game as much as possible, there wasn't a single zombie in the trailer.

Im invested in this because Zach Cregger is the writer/director, probably will be a good and unsettling movie, as is his style, but i dont really expect it to be a good adaptation of the IP.

We may never get a good Resident Evil movie.

Not sure what to make of this to be honest; it doesn't look outright terrible, but it doesn't exactly look inspired either, and perhaps more worryingly, it doesn't look much like Resident Evil.

My thoughts exactly. Looks like a pretty decent horror movie in its own right, a touch of zombie and slap on the Resident Evil name.

Lets hope later trailers it'll start to look more like an RE movie.

Yep, I’m with you guys: it looks pretty REINO (Resident Evil In Name Only), but it looks like a solid zombie/horror film in its own right and I trust the director of Barbarian and Weapons to give us a good movie even if it doesn’t much resemble the games. I think Zach Cregger’s earned the benefit of the doubt with his 2 other horror attempts.
