You mean shipping her and the mechanic, or just the usual rule 34 thing?

R34 is just the internet being the internet. Humans are horny creatures by nature.
The shipping thing is just what fandoms do. I also do think the game subtly teases this to as there are a few moments where Shiver is like "oh I was worried for a bit there... b-but not about you! Only about my shark!" that kinda play like the tsundere archetype.
I've only played the 2nd Splatoon game, and had some fun with it. The Metacritic review scores of this one are really impressive sitting at a 93 User Score at the moment. I may have to pick it up one day.

Huh. That’s a new one: a 2.5D Splatoon side-scroller. Honestly I’d be very interested to see how Nintendo could pull that off, for a franchise which literally responds to a genre that cannot exist in 2D (besides a game along the lines of Duck Hunt). (All that comes to mind is Hey Pikmin… oof!) |
It’d probably feel similar to how Inklings play in Smash Bros which is actually what got me hooked on the idea of a 2.5D Splatoon side-scroller. Another cool direction would be a Borderlands-style RPG shooter with a much deeper story than the usual single-player DLCs.
But like I said I'll pick it up eventually(sooner if word of mouth is good) and hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised by it.

FWIW I personally like it a lot and the game play loop is addicting.
I strongly recommend the game, but as always it’s very subjective with what you like.

Whoa; I'd been going slow so as not to beat it too quickly, but it turns out the game is a lot bigger than I realised; I thought I was like 90% of the way through only to check a playthrough and see I am more like 60-70% through.
Not complaining though! I guess I just wrongly assumed it would be a similar length to Splatoon 3 when it fact it has quite lot more meat to it.
Hmmmm…
There is a raid I have no clue how to finish (lvl 20 or so). I’ll have to think about it a bit.

If it's cos you're getting overwhelmed by enemies, calling in other players helps, and there's no shame in grinding a few levels to get more powerful.
If it's the one where you have to get to that turret guy and there's just not enough time then I actually bypassed that one, every solution I looked up online used exploits so I figured it's just not that well designed.

It’s the turret one
