You know, Pokemon in general:
- you make semi-sentient animal fight each other till one (to six) is knocked out
- to catch one, you first have it beat up and paralyzed, maybe poisoned or burned
- you're gambling money in these animal fights, often between adults and children
- some of the pokemon you even throw rocks at
- then you have the HM slaves that you only drag along when necessary and use as cannon fodder and then abandon permanently on PC once you can catch a bigger better one for that purpose

Divinity 2, basically murder everyone in the region after I completed it for the experience.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Branch of Yore (I think) in DS3 turns you character into something in the environment. Once I got invaded, used the branch, blended into a bunch of crosses in a swamp, went to the gym while the invader ran around for about 30 minutes.

rtx 4090, 32 gb ram, i7-13700k

Yeah a lot of Nintendo stuff is hilariously dark when you stop and think about it too much.

Like Pikmin is about a guy who lands on an alien planet, enslaves the locals, and uses them as cannon fodder in slaughtering the rest of the native wildlife.

He doesn't enslave them, they willingly help him.

I feel a little bad for killing Pikmin predators, but it's what I do to help my Pikmin. Though I feel much less bad for killing the Smoky Prog, because it seems less like a wild animal and more like an actively malicious individual that wants to kill everyone in it's path.

I had to sacrifice hero cards (Laguna?) to kill Omega Weapon (FF8).

I was mostly just joking.

Heck, if we reads too much into it, Mario promotes performance-enhancing drugs, and Metroid is about casually slaughtering native wildlife, lmao

Oh that's easy. Nukes were fun to use in the original Civilization. Standard attack, nuke a city a couple times until all units are dead and walk in to claim it. Then cause global warming from the pollution overflowing the coastal areas and making more deserts. I probably committed plenty genocide as well, the game labeled the natives as barbarians to be wiped out. The original dehumanization game!

Same, been a long time ago, but still...
In the Hearts of Iron series, I conquered the world several times with Nazi Germany. And in the mod The New Order: Last Days of the Thousand Year Reich, I managed to achieve global thermonuclear war, basically nuking the entire planet into oblivion.
Speaking of nuking planets, the Stellar Converter in Master of Orion II allows to totally destroy a colony and turn it into a Asteroid field. It's a viable strategy to do this and then remake a planet out of the debris, because no matter how small or minerally poor the planet was, it will become a large abundant planet, so of course it gets used plenty.

I played the original Carmageddon (1997) for countless hours and sometimes I chose to win by running over all pedestrians, usually there were at least a few hundreds of themselves in a single map.

Oh yes! And the competition too while I was at it.

Yeah as a longtime player of Age of Empires I also commited my share of genocides before I finished primary school.

Looking back, it was hilarious that my parents were okay with me putting whole civilizations to the sword, but I wasn't allowed to play say Goldeneye 007 cos it has guns in it.

Speaking of Goldeneye, shooting someone in the balls just to see the slow, agonising death animation wasn't a very nice thing to do.
