Forums - Sales - CD Projekt Red give platform splits for Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077

If Witcher3 is revenue, then PC probably has a lot more sales since PC is the king of discounts.

While Cyberpunk is sales, so PCs revenue share would shrink, while consoles are much higher.

Edit: This is just 2025? Revenue is probably miniscule compared to sales for the older releases.

Double Edit: Yep I was right.

Witcher 3 2025 revenue sales

PC 55%

Playstation 25%

Xbox 10%

Nintendo Switch 10%

Triple Edit: Appears OP Witcher 3 is 2024 revenue while the above is 2025 revenue. Cyberpunk is the correct year but is also revenue.

Sales revenue for those Cyberpunk 2077 numbers doesn’t sound right, that would make the Switch 2 numbers tiny in units. I could have sworn it said unit when I opened it earlier.

Edit: It looks like it is revenue, however there is one interesting thing to note; it includes revenue received from putting the game on PS Plus and Gamepass.

The graph in the report says sales on my end, i took a screengrab: (Page 18)

The game went from 30 million to 35 million over the course of 2025 as far as I can tell, so 10% of that would put Switch 2 sales at approximately 500,000.

Yeah, honestly this is not especially flattering for the Switch 2.

Beyond the Xbox Version being 5 years old (naturally it's already sold the vast majority of units in prior years) it still matched Switch 2 despite Cyberpunk being the most hyped and best selling 3rd party Switch 2 title in 2025 and there being way more new Xbox software released last year. It's even worse if we consider Switch 2 sold probably 3-4x as many consoles in 2025 than Xbox did.

Now I'm not saying this is a bad outcome, but lets ground it in reality. It's not impressive. If the Switch 2 couldn't muster more than this then I would actually be concerned about future 3rd party support of this kind where a dedicated team works on on the port over a long period of time.

On a positive note, Switch 2 sales would prove higher revenue per sale than all other platforms and most importantly the Switch 2 port created a boost on sales on all other platforms. Arguably there may be more value in late Switch 2 for some games rather than having it out day one, because late Switch 2 ports (if good) create a second wind of interest and media coverage that could translate into big revenue boosts across all platforms (especially PC/Playstation) 6months/1 year after launch and promote some double dipping. Same happened with Star Wars Outlaws with its sales rising on other platforms after its Switch release.

The Switch 2 release was also a 5 year old game technically, and it was priced higher than on other platforms and only available for about half the year.

You don't need to sell a huge amount for a port of a game that's already made to be worthwhile.

When companies say sales, they mean revenue most of the time. Unless they say sold to consumers it is hard to definitively say one way or the other. But in this case the answer is more clear in your graph caption right there, they say the 2025 spike was mostly because it was put on PS plus extra and premium, meaning revenue. There is no way that would be sales.

The Witcher 3 graph a few pages over says revenue, surely the two would be consistent if they were both revenue.

Depends if someone can read Polish. They say the Polish version is most accurate. My brain is not big enough to find the differences in what they mean. Later in the report they say revenue instead of sales for the same thing said in the caption.

"The higher revenue relative to 2024 is mainly due to strong sales of Cyberpunk brand products, including:
■ one-off revenue from making the basic version of Cyberpunk 2077 available as part of a PlayStation Plus Extra
or Premium subscriptions on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles;
■ revenue relating to Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 consoles released in the second
quarter of 2025"

Polish isn't one of my language unfortunately; from what I can see, the section talking about higher revenue relative to 2024 follows a consolidated income statement and rather than any mention of platforms.
