Forums - Nintendo - Switch 2 owners, what's your 2025 haul?

MK World
Kirby - Switch 2 edition

That's it so far, as it was a family Xmas present. Also, we're more Xbox focused around here, and we have PS5 as well. So, Nintendo systems are mostly for exclusives, and even then we skip a lot of them because there's just too much to play across all platforms.

I expect we'll pick up Mario Party Jamboree and Donkey Kong Bananza over the next several months, because my soon-to-be-7-year-old wants them. And I may pick up Metroid Prime 4 when I see it on a good sale. But, that may be it for 2026, unless there's a new Mario Brothers game next fall.

The whole Game Key Card debacle, paired with the insane prices really put me off buying new games this year, so I really only got:

Mario Kart World
Donkey Kong Bananza

I‘m planning on picking up Hades II, Cyberpunk and Metroid Prime 4 down the line as well and I might get Pokémon ZA used at some point, but for now I’m pretty happy just going through my backlog.

In no particular order:

Mario Kart World
Switch 2 Edition of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
Donkey Kong Bananza
Switch 2 Edition of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of Kingdom
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment
Switch 2 Edition of Hollow Knight Silksong

Besides Hollow Knight Silksong, every Switch 2 game I got is a physical copy. I will, however, get the physical copy of Hollow Knight Silksong once that is available.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I also got the upgrade pack for Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

Did you sell your physical games when you moved?

Mario Kart World (digital - bundled with my wife's Switch2)
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition
Donkey Kong Bananza
Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment (digital)
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

Also got a Switch 2 pro controller. I would not have bought it for myself considering the price and how man Switch 1 Pro controllers went bad on me. The controllers were such a let down considering how good the WiiU controller had been. Almost all of my S1 Pros developed drift in the left stick.

Two more last minute additions, bringing my game total to 13:

- Hades II (Physical)

- Layers of Fear (Was curious about it from a technical perspective as system-pushing graphics are a special interest of mine)

Just the system and Mario Kart World for now. Money got real tight in more recent months so I haven't bought any games since then.
