Amazing art in that game!
Ghost of yotei looks like a cleaner PS4 game. It doesn't look impressive graphics wise.
Something feels off with the lighting in Yotei, the sky doesn't seem to match the ground lighting. Or maybe it's the over saturation.
From screenshots I prefer DS2 (having played neither)
From memory I prefer Horizon FW Forbidden Shores for 4K mastery and Midnight Walk for art style and immersion in PSVR2.
Okay. I've changed my mind, while Ghost CAN look way better than DS2 and blow the mind with beauty but it does not over half the time. It only excels in golden hour light and with landscapes and vistas and when certain effects are active and while the flowing real time painting cutscenes are cool they get old quickly and it makes the game feel indie. Also the wind effect is too strong, wind does not look like little clouds flowing across the ground. Regardless, since the game is so dynamic it looks like it lacks consistently great artistic shean.
I have to give it yo DS2, it's quality is far more consistent and even with the all the HUD and on screen info it looks better. It also has artistic shean and beautiful landscapes that are far more detailed and also some dynamic effects. It's mainly the consistency and the detail that gives 8t the win. I'm not sure even GTA6s finished product will look as food as DS2 on base PS5.
Ghost's budget is 40 million less though and they don't have Decima which seems to give the edge. KJP have been at the realistic graphics game far longer too. They are the people who brought cinematic story telling and realism to games with MGS1.

Oh RDR2 is definitely better and I see that now that I've played into a chunk of Yotei but boy when Yotei hits, it hits so hard, harder than any game I've ever seen. It's got that same thing that TW3 has that will make the game (at times, mainly senses and larger open vistas) timeless. I've seen landscapes in this game that beat super advanced digital artists but here it's dynamic and in real time. It's just a pity it's no consistent and the character models are only minor lying improved.

Yeah, my vote was DS2, as well. I am mostly a retro gamer, but I do play modern games when I feel like it, and DS2 is the most impressive looking console game I have ever played, easily.
Having said that, I would just like to take a moment and say how impressed I am with your ability to admit you got it wrong... in front of everyone, no less. I have been doing this message board thing for a very long time, and I can count of two hands the amount of times I've seen people admit to an error in judgment like that, and it needs praised. We need more humanity online, not less. So hats off, my friend.
I prefer Nintendo graphics in Donkey Kong Banaza. I have no desire to play Death Standing 2, as I've never had fun playing a Kojima game. Ghost of Yotei is a beautiful game, that I look forward to playing probably early next year after I get it for Christmas.
