Forums - General - What's your proudest achievement?

I once appealed to the highest court in my country, because our constitution contradicts itself. It says that men have to be drafted (military service 6 months or civillian service 9 months). And it says that men and women are equal before the law. They just wrote back (in official capacity) that there cannot be a contradiction. -Perhaps I should do something with this again. This sexism within the law, our constitution no less, really grinds my gears.

I guess something at work. Generally others in my life seem to feel more proud regarding my "achievements" then myself.
I think the feeling of shame regarding anything I have yet to archive thumps any and all feelings of accomplishment regarding things I have succeeded in.

If I had to pick something it would probably be building a system from scratch alone for a data migration project. It is at least the most difficult thing I have managed to complete.

Another great thread idea to bring out the positive in everyone. It’s great to hear the stories people have shared. Being proud of things in your life is a great feeling and we all need those more than ever these days. It’s good every now and again to give yourself a pat on the back as much as many of us are always our own worst critics.

I think the thing I’m most proud of is the nonprofit I started in my local area to pick up litter. We’ve hosted over 200 events, picked up nearly 200,000 pounds of trash, and I’ve actually made it my “full time” job. I put that in quotes since I really only get paid 20 hours per week, but I’m putting in a solid 40 either way. It’s really growing and I’m actually adding my first employee other than myself this month. I’m bummed that there is that much litter in my area to warrant creating this nonprofit, but I’m proud of the fact that for 10 years I’ve managed it and we’ve continued to grow, both in the number of events we host and in the number of volunteers we bring in each month.

Having a good paying job without any papers.
Buying my second apartment even though all my "friends" thought i whas stupid and spending it all on games.

Never lie.

Soo,not verry much i suppose.
