I hope it will be as successful as BF3 and BF4.

Yeah in an age where it feels like every shooter is aping Fortnite with goofy clown skins and crossovers, it'd be nice to see a grounded realistic shooter find success.

I do hope they work on their campaigns though, most prior Battlefields had strong multiplayer but kinda weak campaigns. (At least the ones I've played, so like Bad Company 1/2 and BF3-4)

If this one has a worthwhile solo outing I'll bite.

But not as successful as BF1?

I mean it'll either spark the franchise once again like Battlefield 1 did or it's just gonna be another big mirror of smoke reveal like we had with Battlefield 2042. Honestly not expecting or anything until we get even close to Beta footage.

There's been closed multiplayer pre-alphas for a while now, footage is on Youtube, so you can see how actual gameplay looks:

That was likely flagged because I see nothing 😅

Yeah EA is taking them down, but if you go looking online you can find gameplay from the open alpha pretty easily, and it does look really good.

It does look good, but not getting my hopes up until there's way more released.
BF3 and BF4 were my favs of the franchise. I haven't played anything prior to that though. BF1 was also pretty good.
A return to something more like BF3/BF4 would be a definite buy for me.

I take it no PS4 version though, so dunno if I'll ever get it since I may just end up skipping PS5 for PS6.

PS1   - ! - We must build a console that can alert our enemies.

PS2  - @- We must build a console that offers online living room gaming.

PS3   - #- We must build a console that’s powerful, social, costs and does everything.

PS4   - $- We must build a console that’s affordable, charges for services, and pumps out exclusives.

PRO  -%-We must build a console that's VR ready, checkerboard upscales, and sells but a fraction of the money printer.

PS5   - ^ -We must build a console that’s a generational cross product, with RT lighting, and price hiking.

PRO  -&- We must build a console that Super Res upscales and continues the cost increases.

Was hoping for a more of a graphics leap over Battlefield 3 on a high-end PC to be honest, that deferred renderer was impressive... Especially the first time you climbed into a fighter jet on a ship, during a storm.

Frostbite while still looking good, just isn't giving us that generation leap that we had from Bad Company 2 to Battlefield 3, it's been far more iterative as of late.
