I used to, love them but it's just too inconvenient. I'll wait till the tech is just a small swimming size googles put on your head if that ever comes. I also don't like Metas ecosystem nor their pricing and sales structure and I hate that every time I boot up my quest 2 none of the games are playable cause they need to be updated. It's worse than Switch. If I were to play any VR it'd be PSVR 2 on a deep sale at some point cause I absolutely loved PSVR the first go round but I had a PRO for that.

That sentiment kinda turns around when you're older, wife and kids, can't just grab the TV for whatever you want to play... VR is more convenient than dragging the PS5 to another room and hooking it up to a less capable TV. And I can pay while listening along to the TV.

PS5 Pro doesn't add much (apart from extra storage space) for VR. Very few games with noticeable advantages. But it's still $400, less than Switch 2 though ;)

Ugh dilemma, do I go out and buy DS2 or wait until I get bored of VR. Or just skip it (after putting 400 hours into DS1)

I'm currently having too much fun taking out all the billionaire scum in the Ark Society mission in Hitman, no one will leave the island muhahaha. Working from the top down lol. (AI is funny, just keeps cleaning up corpses I throw out of windows and then going back to normal. Oh another terrible 'accident')

How is DS2 compared to the first one? I read it's more focused on trucking rather than exploring paths, walking and building zip lines? I didn't like the shooty missions much from the first game, so if it's focused more on action than I won't be that sad to miss it lol.

DS2 is starting to get good 10+ hours in, they really get you on that DS1 thread early, like 6 hours in. Story still hasn't even began to show signs but I've been spending my time off the beaten path a lot. As for ripping the PS5 away, why not grab yourself a PS portal, it's like 150 euro and you may only be playing DS2 in 1080p but you'll still be playing it.

If I'm gonna play in 1080p I'll do it on my old 1080p projector at 92" screen! Handhelds aren't for me.

I might get the game, depends on whether it's on my mind next time I drive by the store :)

Atm I'm just looking forward to dispatching more billionaires in different ways. One of my piles from last night lol

The staff people are merely unconscious, the billionaires aren't so lucky.

Thief Legacy of Shadow coming to PSVR2 as well :)

Have yet to try it. I'm a bit curious to give it a shot, but not several hundred quid curious.

Cave Crave is very tense while basically all you do is crawl through a maze of narrow tunnels finding a way through. Not a game that would translate outside VR at all, just like Subside.

That's why I love VR, so many new experiences and enhancements / reinvigorated interest for genres I had given up on.

No.

The hardware pricing is too much for too little ( the library of games are too limited for my tastes)

Yeah. I got my PSVR1 headset for £30 and that's the only reason I was willing to give it a go. Quest 2's and PSVR1's can be had so cheap now if your OK with a used headset but I understand why a lot of people don't want a used one.

There's something really gross about a used VR headset. I can't even touch other people's phones without quite litterally wanting to rip the skin off, of my hands. My face would never allow me inside of someone elses headset no matter how well cleaned.

Tried it twice and both times I felt sick. Now I don't use it for games.

I know but luckily the pads that contact your head on the PSVR1 are removable and can be deep cleaned. Don't know if they are on other headsets though. Realistically the only way most people will try it is, if one of their friends had one so if everyone feels like you VR will definitely never take off lol.
