More first party single player games.

Bring back series like Killzone, Resistance, Motorstorm, Wipeout, etc.

Agreed on returns of those classic franchises! Wipeout is still my favorite PlayStation franchise. Throw in SOCOM, Sly Cooper, Twisted Metal, or Syphon Filter, and I’d be a happy camper.

A lot of people focus on the “generational” games that Sony put out nowadays, which are good, but they’re never my favorites. Would love to see the diversity of experiences Sony used to put out

Noticeably better first party support, thats all.

Hardware-wise the console is good, third party support has been awesome. The only thing holding it back from greatness compared to other gens is the poor first party support.

Yeah, from a first-party perspective, the biggest standouts for me this gen have been Astro Bot, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Returnal, and Helldivers 2.

Pretty short list after nearly 5 years. Everything else has been a remake/remaster or more of the same from the PS4 days with some extra bells and whistles. Not say the latter games like God of War: Ragnarök or Spider-Man 2 were bad at all. I still enjoyed them, but just didn't have that next-gen feel to them.

I ranked it 8/10 which is very favorable. Still, I think there are some things to improve.
-Fix the hours played. I know it will never be 100% accurate, but I feel like for a lot of people it's quite inaccurate for some titles. I've been pretty lucky with mine over 90% most of the time. Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden are under tracked by dozens of hours each though.
-More first-party single-player games.
-More ports, remasters, and new titles of older IPs that have been neglected for a while.
-This is something that needs to be fixed on PS4 as well but less shovelware on the store.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 161 million (was 73 million, then 96 million, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million, then 151 million, then 156 million)

PS5: 122 million (was 105 million, then 115 million) Xbox Series X/S: 38 million (was 60 million, then 67 million, then 57 million. then 48 million. then 40 million)

Switch 2: 120 million (was 116 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

Oh yes. All systems and services need to start pushing back against the shovelware and curate it or create partitions for it, at least stop putting it up front and center but I suppose it makes money, I'd imagine Nintendo and Steam where it is worst are looking at the numbers and saying yup, we are a shovel ware platform now and that's that.

Price, looks (both controller and console), in that order.

Price? With the days of play sale the digital edition was priced identically to the XBSS, a console it is twice as powerful as. What more could they do with the price?

Have it be the normal price. Microsoft doing even worse in terms of pricing is no defense of Sony's prices.

Those are normal prices. The reason the prices jumped on the XBS consoles was because MS are no longer subsidising the cost to sell the hardware. It's not about MS "being bad and greedy" with prices. They just priced the consoles at breakeven cost instead of at a loss. Nothing wrong with that from either MS or Sony

First party output without the live service mess and constant remakes/remasters of games that came out last gen.

This would normally be my complaint to but as it is I'm just overwhelmed with games right now. Even if Sony was releasing more games it would just be games being thrown into my backlog. Still haven't even played Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin, Astrobot, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some. I'm in the middle of KCD2 and Nioh 2 (yep never even played Nioh 2). There's so much out there right now I don't know how the companies expect us to play all this. It's not even a  money issue for me I just don't have the time and I play games for like 20-30 hours a week.

If they swapped Amy Hennig with neil, that would be great for me. People play games for fun, I don't care about neil's ideology.
Uncharted 1, 2, and 3 had supernatural content. El Dorado's humanoid species, Shambhala guardians or the curse of the djinn. Unfortunately it wasn't in Uncharted 4.
There are many things I could write about that bothered me about The Last of Us Part 2. but the main issue is the destruction of the studio's productivity. For me Naughty Dog was like half of the console.

I'm not buying that Sony is selling PS5 at a break-even price or even selling it at loss, and even if it is, I have no reason to be happy about a console costing at least roughly as much or even more than at launch over 4.5 years after launch, especially when even the inflation-adjusted launch price was up from that of PS4. I also have a hard time believing that inflation that had a greater effect than falling manufacturing costs, as tends to happen during console lifecycles. That I haven't checked though, because I'm not sure where to look, so it would probably take uncomfortably long to investigate that and it's just not worth my time.
