I was gonna make a thread on this but it'll ruffle feathers. The age of true successors of over, now it's just slight improvments. When I got a PS5 my first thought was, oh it's a better, upgraded PS4 PRO, doesn't matter about the power cause devs can't make that work. If Kojima and Co can not find the juice in the machine and calls it basically the same machine as a base ps4 then yurr, it's not a gen leap. |
Bollocks mate - PS5/XSX have GPUs that are architecturally quite different from PS4/XO/PS4Pro/XOX
Problem is that this gen is transition from one way of doing things, that's been done for 2 decades, to a new model that will be predominant in next gen, and we're literally caught in the middle in this gen with hardware that's neither here nor there.
