Pre-ordered it like a month ago...

Probably never.

I don't think I've even seen a Switch 1 before.

Earliest would probably be for my birthday in August.
Latest would probably be March 2026.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 161 million (was 73 million, then 96 million, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million, then 151 million, then 156 million)

PS5: 115 million (was 105 million) Xbox Series S/X: 40 million (was 60 million, then 67 million, then 57 million. then 48 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

Day 1 if possible, I signed up on NSO just in case if I cant get my pre-order on Best Buy (with Target as a secondary option).

I was expecting $500 but the $500 one comes with Mario Kart World which is great.

The console price is fine - the game prices I can get around it since Costco sells $100 eshop cards for $90 and $80 during holidays.

I dont mind buying certain first party games day 1 but RIP for third party titles.

Also likely will be playing all my first party Switch 1 games on Switch 2 (and through the upgrades) - seems like my following Switch line up will be

Switch OG - packed up for retirement

Switch OLED - portable only as it is now

Switch 2 - perma docked.

Jeez you're fast, answered before I put the poll!

Late 2026 purchase for me. I have no plans to rush a purchase, scalping will make the prices go even higher and I have a feeling no brazillian SKU will be aviable in a couple of months, I'd better wait

Maybe 2027, if they confirm Animal Crossing for 2027 I know they will release an Animal Crossing SKU

Once I'm done with my Wii backlog, which is basically all of my Wii games. I got a Wii in, uh, I think the late 2010s, along with a few games, but I haven't really had time to do much with the Wii. It's my first and so far only Nintendo home console, and it's also the reason I never got the first Switch - it just didn't make sense while I had another Nintendo system with a backlog. Of course if the Switch 2 gets a successor before I'm done with the Wii, I might skip the Switch 2 as well...

I was considering getting it today and almost bit, but the game prices have put me off. I think it will be a while before I jump in.

Eventuall. I'll wait a year at least to see how it goes, I have enough to play meanwhile.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

No idea. I don't like Mario Kart and see nothing else to buy a new Switch for.

If the next Zelda or Mario is amazing I might reconsider, but so far I've seen nothing exciting. I'm sticking to VR for my gaming.

Exception if my kids ask for one.
