If you've played sekiro, tsushima, assassin creed, hitman etc , does this game bring anything new ? Or is it been there , done that type of experience?

It's idiotic to pay full price for Ubisoft games anyway. They go on heavy discounts within a few weeks.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

its just another AC, its not a new blackflag.

He is watching a first impressions video by Cohn.

TLDR:
Cohn is fed up with ingame shops and P2W, and letdown by the story (its not gripping enough to keep you going).
Asmon makes it funny.

Been there, done that, rather do that again (instead). Atleast going by Cohn's take.

Are you seriously posting a video of that Nazi roach-infest douchebag?

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

Mainly quoting this so the video will show up in the thread again but relative to that,

I just watched Mortismal's review.  He is absolutely one of the most positive, non-political reviewers on Youtube and rarely rates anything worse than a "wait for a sale" but he gave Shadows a straight "not recommended".  For reference, he liked Starfield and Veilguard well enough.

Two elements he seemed to dislike a lot in Shadows were the pay-to-progress micro-transactions and the melee combat of the samurai path.  He said that Yasuke was basically an unstoppable killing machine and the combat was boring.  He also disliked that most of the "rpg" elements were pretty much meaningless.  To be fair, he had a ton of technical issues with the review build, which might have been fixed with the first patch.

It really sounds like Ubisoft tried to cram a bunch of stuff into the game that just made it feel watered-down instead.

Why are people posting videos of what OTHER people think.
The thread is what do YOU Think. If you haven't played it don't use someone else's opinions.

We have 100's of threads where the "usual suspects" post any amount of hate they can find to hate on something they haven't played.

If you only gonna play games that "bring anything new", then I'm afraid you won't play any other game in your life.

For example, are you going to ask this same question with Ghost of Yotei?

Imagine admitting you’re an Asswithmold watcher 🤣

Ride The Chariot | ‘25 Completed

After consideration and finding a trend of Ubisoft releasing games heavily discounted relatively soon after release even when they succeed, I have decided to wait for the first sale. To the people asking me why I want to play it despite reception, for one I've played about a total of 10 hours of AC since Syndicate, I love the setting and the visuals and that quality mode actually has a smooth FPS which seems usable like Alan Wake 2, Something feels different about this title that I can't put my finger on, a merging of old and new perhaps and most of all I'm looking for effortless games to play, nothing too heavy as I have KCD2 and Baldurs Gate 3 waiting for me but they feel too complex to get into for my current mood. And yes, I've seen a good chunk of the big influencers takes on the game (without Asmongold wasting my time pausing the videos) and I used that information to inform myself on what I'm getting into. Not every game needs to be Phenomenal, I love playing good solid games as you can see in my linked lists below and I sometimes see the odd average game through to the end if it has something to offer.

I'm still trying to play catch up.

I finished AC Black Flag and Freedom Cry last year.

Gonna be playing AC Rogue and then Unity after that.

I still havent even bought Mirage and have all the ACs up to Valhalla.

I'll get this one eventually when the Gold/Complete edition goes on sale for like $30.
