Read speeds on Switch 2 will be slightly slower than Series X. 2.1GB vs 2.4GB, but with them optimized for NSW2, it should seem faster.

Wait what? Switch had decent load times... or at least I can't remember a title that had bad loading. I did mostly play indies but played about a dozen Nintendo first and second party games. I never played a third party big release, perhaps this is where the issue is?

Yeah, third party titles.
SSDs are a godsend.
I don't miss long loading screens at all.

Yeah, I watched some comparisons after your comment to check and some are brutal, Crash Bandicoot 4 eek. At least you have a sort of quick resume at the cost of battery life or electricity...just don't die and you're golden. That's how I got through hundreds of hours of The Witcher 3s Death March mode on PS4, it made me play more reserved and better at the game.
