Remember the demo and starting area of the game is the absolute weakest part of it and it gets significantly better. This would be a perfect game for you, the platinum is so much fun. It's time consuming and above your usual 50 hours max by about 10 I'd say but it is the best Platinum since Death Stranding. You can maybe shave off a chunk is you save to cloud for one of the three endings but you have to do at least 2 and the second is no big deal. The collectibles (the main ones in the form of cans) are the most cleavers hidden and brilliantly placed ever in a game, it takes parkour and even with a guide to know where to go, some of them are just so fun to collect. You don't need to 100% everything either and while you need to collect most collectibles for a certain ending and do a good chunk of side quests, they've added a meter to know how much you need to do and it's a lot less than I thought so perhaps you'd be able to get this in sub 50 hours or not much above it. Honestly, don't use the demo as your thermometer for this game, this game is insane ammounts of fun and especially for completionists or me, who's a completionist now and then when I get obsessed with a game. |
The demo wasn't the weakest part. It gets worse. The subway level after it, the train station. Anything that involves water , underwater. Pretty much every indoor area was just poor level design. Nothing cool to see , or interact with.
When you first get to xion, and the desert around it. I was expecting the majority of the game to be centred around that area with a more coehisve level design. The game is just too abrupt with the pacing. It never finds a sweet immersive spot, that makes you feel like you are there , and getting accustomed to an area and moving through it , like a journey.

You're speaking gibberish to me because I see it very differently. You said above that it takes fron other games of old... that's the beauty of it. It's like when Ghost Of Tsushima choose to do soft lock ons instead of center on one enemy and that was panned as terrible until people played it and realised that perhaps there are good things from games in the past as well as Quality of life features, same with Elden Ring, the games insudtry had a fit that it didn't have a load of exessive UI and features that it had no need for. This game is a love letter to all that has come before. It knows exactly what it wants to be and it does it for no other reason than fun.
...If you truly have made it into the later parts and have not found fun, I still have my doubts since you won't upload a video to prove it but I'll give you the benifet then yeah, it sucks that you don't like it but I guess that's personal taste. I kinda feel sorry for you cause you do seem to love the genres this takes from and to see you not understand weighs a little on my heart. I was only joshing ya up earlier, I don't truly think you're the devil for not liking this game, you're just a really terrible human being.
J/k 😉
Did all the side quest but still haven't finished,
kinda got bored but the gameplay is great...
I will cumback to it eventually if u know what I mean lol
I am playing the game on ps5 pro on pro mode and it looks really good to me. Almost a 4k image at 80fps feels good. I like the simplicity which I admit it might have something to do with me getting old. So far a 8 out a 10.
Love the classic video game arguments. Feel like I haven't seen a thread like this in years haha.
While I haven't played it, my impression of Stellar Blade is that it is a fairly serviceable action game with a disjointed design philosophy that can be seen pretty clearly in its character designs which feel straight out of a very different game. Seems like I could get some enjoyment out of it, but I'm not interested enough to actually buy it, especially with how many great action games exist in a similar space...
Nah. Stellar Blade is solid 9/10. Greatest action since DMC 3.
Again, I'm not interested in this game, and the protagonist's portrayal in trailers is a turn off to me.
But I'm shocked at some users here insulting the game's enjoyers in broad daylight. How about you shut the fuck up, mind your own business, and let fans speak for themselves? Just express what you don't like without attacking others, how hard is this? (Not as hard as the fans buhahahaha. jk).

Lol, thanks. The difference between us is i've woken up, you're still living a lie. Alot of people live and act on impulse, are just there acting the part. Getting through. Not many sit and give time for reflection, to ask questions, to truly feel alive, aware.
As i said earlier, the game is full of motion blur. Your playing a game where you can't really see clearly the impact of your movies on the enemy. It's fast, blurred. Thus the hit detection is not fun to look at, and you can't truly enjoy what you're seeing. Now you may have had hype going into the game, which may have elevated your experience mentally. I did not go in with hype, but more of i'll play and see as the game goes on. Regardless, i came to realise quicky of the graphical faults, and have to play on throughout the whole game knowing it's there, essentially living the lie. You are hidden it from it, but still living it. Now you, i might think to myself, oh cool, when finally pulling off a move set for the first time, but the feeling is sub subsurface, and fast. There is no real depth, no pure joy and amazement , no genuine feeling, that other games before it has provided.
So reflect on what i'm saying, and wake up.

Black Myth is awaiting me on my PS5 home screen when I get the vibe to play it. But idk, it seems very loose and mediocre compared to stellar blade, only done the first real boss though and tried the big baby but failed. Perhaps that'll awaken something deep inside me and my turd eye will be opened to new depths of character action gaming.
