Crimson Desert: 80

I think Crimson Desert looks better than people are expecting. Hopefully it's not a cardboard marketing gimmick.

Combat looks really fun; everything else seems very sketchy. (Though even the combat is a little sketchy. It takes a loooot of reference from BotW/TotK’s combat system…not usually a great sign when a game borrows that heavily.) I’ll stay optimistic with an 85OC, though I do expect in the 70s.

Elden Ring Nightrein 88
Crimson Desert 79

I find it sus that they are focusing so much on graphical detail but that destruction and sinulation of the world, even if it's fluff adds so much, hopefully it's not a facade but if Dragons Dogma can get an 87, a ludicrous score for that game, this can get low 80s. I see a much better game here than DD2.

The questing is where I feel this game might falter big time.

Nightrein: 86
Crimson Desert: 84 (which is too high for a Korean game)

Korean and Chinese studios have some critic bias going against them or at least a lack of bias for them compared to established respected developers. If DD2 were a Chinese game, it wouldn't have scored a point over 80.

Hopefully Crimson Desert is as good as it looks.

Nightreign - 86

Crimson Desert - 85

First reviews are in for Elden Ring: Nightreign and it's currently sitting at 80 with 88 reviews. A respectable score though actually lower than all our predictions. The closest prediction was myself even though I actually put it higher than my original thought.

Let me raise GTA VI to 96, and put MK World at 94 and DK at 91.

Finally got around to adding the leaderboard and doing the first point tally of the year, only counting games for the first four months for now since games released in May could still change.

  • Currently in the lead with 44 points we have none other than @UnderwaterFunktown followed closely by @Koragg with 42.
  • In terms of average score @Kyuu is in the lead though with a very solid average of 9 points on 4 predictions.
  • And we have 2 completely different individuals leading in closest predictions as @Machina and @DroidKnight both have 2 of our 6 games so far.

The different categories are very spread out for now, should be interesting to see where things go from here.

I’m changing DKBananza to 94, DS2 to 87, MP4 to 89.
