I was sure I was loosing my mind, like going bat shit insane but then I seen your sig and I know it's not me. Also, you can Platinum Portal on Playstation 😉

did my sig confuse you or smth? Lol. (it’s a pretty solid observation imo. Nintendo Switch 3 releasing when I’m 33yo, meaning NSW2 will sell for 11y & hit 222.22mil units.)

It makes a lot of sense 👀

1. Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (Switch)

Now Playing
1. Ys IV: Mask of the Sun (SNES)

GoW Ragnorak.

So, saying I hadn't beaten any game this year, 3 days later.

Jak and Daxter.

PS+Premium was on offer, got it for like £60 in the end. Was going through the older titles and thought I'd play this. Played it before, PS2 and PS3 but this was PS5 with trophies. Great platform.

Hmm, pie.

I'm going back to older titles this year. Picked up some old consoles and games and going back to the good old days. Mainly 360 and DS at the moment but I may branch into other systems like the PS1/PS2/PSP later in the year.

Dead Rising 2 (Steam Deck)
Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Steam Deck)
Fable Anniversary (Steam Deck)
Ratchet & Clank 2 (Emulator)
Project Gotham Racing 3 (X360)
Amped 3 (X360)
Professor Layton and the Curious Village (NDS)

WIP

Sleeping Dogs (Steam Deck)
Assassin's Creed (X360)
Forza 2 (X360)
Professor Layton and the Pandora's Box (NDS)
Blinx the Timesweeper (Xbox)

Two down.

Name Platform Rating Review
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD PS4 7.0/10 A solid game with plenty of potential that just fails to properly realize it. Too many things in the story go unexplained, too many characters are not properly expanded upon, and as such remain distant all the way to the end. The world the game creates is fascinating, but the disjointed story and lack of character development hampers the experience.
Ys: Memories of Celceta PS4 7.5/10 A very enjoyable action RPG with a likable cast of characters and a decent story. Doesn't overstay its welcome or stretch anything needlessly. There were some minor annoyances that hurt the experience a bit, but overall this was still a very fun time. Ys games are almost always at least good, and Memories of Celceta was no exception.

Currently Playing:

  • The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie (PS5)

Backlog:

  • The Witcher III
  • Tales of Vesperia
  • Tales of Arise
  • The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak
  • Persona 5
  • Final Fantasy Tactics
  • Ghost of Tsushima
  • Star Ocean: The Second Story R
  • Star Ocean: The Divine Force
  • Demon's Souls
  • Atelier Ryza 2
  • Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
  • Nier Replicant
  • Tactics Ogre: Reborn
  • Armored Core VI
  • Lost Judgment
  • Dark Chronicle

SNES: Contra 3, Castlevania 4, Turtles in Time, Secret of Mana, Final Fight 2, Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Batman Returns.

Genesis: Streets of Rage 2, The Lion King, Street Fighter 2 SCE.

Currently playing FF2 on SNES and Streets of Rage 3 on Genesis. The former will happen. The latter... sigh.

So far:
Mario & Luigi: Brothership - I really liked it. The battle system is great and aesthetically, it's a step in the right direction, specially the character models, but the areas in general felt a bit bland. I was worried about not having Yoko Shimomura, but honestly this game has the best battle and final boss theme in the series. Ironically, even though the game is about connections, this is the most disconnected game in the franchise. I expect a more expansive world for the next entry. Also, it goes on for a bit too long. Solid 7/10.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown - Started last year around June but stopped for a while because of work and kind of left it behind, but picked it back up last week and finished it today. And what a game. It's probably in my top 5, maybe even top 3 metroidvanias of all time. All the abilities, the battle mechanics and the platforming are immense fun, and the boss battles are very challenging and creative. I really liked the story and characters too. It's a shame the team behind it got disbanded because I'd go for a sequel day one. 9/10

Astro Bot
Cyberpunk 2077 (whatever the DLC is called)

Next up will be Sniper Elite: Resistance

1 Sonic 1
2 Sonic 2

4 TMNT: Turtles in Time
5. TMNT Hyperstone Heist
6 TMNT Shredder’s Revenge
7. Super Mario Bros 2
8. Super Mario Bros 3
9. Street Fighter 2 Turbo

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
