Ummmm, yay? Boy, holiday savings sure aren't what they used to be lol. I don't think Nintendo is going to offer much of a discount on the Switch either.

It's $70 off. Still not good enough in my opinion. Ideally Should have been $350.
With PS5, Sony clearly wants to make a profit on console sales as well (unlike last gen).
Nice but just drop it to $380 already and $450 for the standard. We don't need a $100 price cut for a permanent price cut to be implemented.
And drop the prices in most regions too which are getting out of hand compared to the USA.
Lifetime Sales Predictions
Switch: 161 million (was 73 million, then 96 million, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million, then 151 million, then 156 million)
PS5: 115 million (was 105 million) Xbox Series S/X: 40 million (was 60 million, then 67 million, then 57 million. then 48 million)
PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)
3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

That's an artificial $70 off though. Going from $399 to $449 for seemingly no reason only to put it on a holiday sale for $379 just a year later to make it seem like you're saving $70 is wild lol. Even came with a stand when it was $399. Reminds me of Prime Day Deals where they increase the price of a product to then "discount" it to make it look like the savings is bigger than what it actually is.

True. But when your direct competitor (that trails in console sales by quite a margin even in the US) charges 450 for a digital series X, Why should you bother charging any lower? Being the market leader and all.

Doesn't matter how artificial it is. It only needs to priced well enough to sell better than Xbox as that's their main competitor. It's 380 vs 450, and 380 is better.

Oh I forgot they raised the price of the digital. Tragic
We had ours early this year, everything got cut by 50 euro. I snagged an OG PS5 with a disck drive for 490 (not sure I'll use the disc drive bit i want options). It's odd, they didn't even advertise the sale, so glad I got one cause they'll be all sold out soon enough until after January.
