That dwarf girl looks like abby from tlou2. Her face . I wonder if they used the same model. I wish the game had interesting looking characters, not a game trying to be progressive.

Yes they borrowed the model from a different developer and publisher using a different engine from a game exclusive to one console to be in a Dragon Age game. Yes.

Meh, probably a pass. Too many other top titles to play.

Definitely going to be playing Witcher 3 and Stellar Blade before I even think of touching this game.

Are they on your list? Have you played The Witcher 3 before?

Never played them. My rainy day games for if JRPGs have a drought.

Well that's it, the internet and corporate suits ruined mainstream video games. Just watched a bit of the Skill Up review.

They found my line, crossed it and goodbye Bioware.

When he said companions speak like HR are in the room was so spot on lol

This thread is truly a cesspit.

I can't believe I read 4 pages of grown men complaining because they gave one of the female characters more typical female proportions

People bemoaning a fantasy game for having politics when the cornerstone of most fantasy is literally politics, war and class/race systems.

If a handful of convos inclusive of modern politics make a game unplayable to you, you need some serious perspective. It's wild that there are literal wars raging and a multitude of genuine pandemics, but what's stokes the fire most in some circles is pronoun options :')

The DEI doesn't bother me. I'm concerned about the standard deviation of reviews. Seems like many think it is bad and others love it.

Interesting that it comes from a guy that tends to have progressive views, although definitely not radical at all, one of the reasons I usually like his reviews.

This is the first time I see him using these words, calling out something that is not just bad writing, but bad writing being clearly influenced by external factors.

I have seen him complaining about capitalism all the time, which is tiring to be honest, but complaining about having "HR in the room"? First time.

I hope Jason Shreier police do not come for him.

Clear case of access journalism.
Bioware are manipulating reviews, by screening everyone (reviewers), and only those with clean records of pure praise for the game, get codes.
worse they "lie" about, to manipulate channels, for free PR.  So they promis codes, if your videos are well recieved, but if your even slightly critical of anything, you get blacklisted (without being told so). When its time for a review code, they just dont talk to you, or hand you any.

Yeah, came here to post this video. This doesn't have to mean it is a bad game - just that the early reviews are untrustworthy as a fair representation, as EA selected one half of the natural distribution to skew with the results.

This blows as I looked forward to this game, it should be right for me. But reviews like SkillUps make me reluctant. I will wait until a week after release and look how reviews look right then until I decide.

Based on SkillUp review and ignoring any DEI thing, which is not a problem for a lot of people, the game has some atrocious things in it. Its really bad. I am curious to watch a positive review about it just so I can see how some reviewers are approaching some of the game flaws.
