Forums - Nintendo - Will the Switch 2 be revealed this month?

At the very least, I think that at this point, after all the leaks and Nintendo's lack of visible concern over that, we're getting a full presentation rather than just a teaser trailer. Otherwise Nintendo would already have shown something to address the rumours.

My guess is Nintendo's lack of concern of incredulity the general internet has toward these things.

It's like giving a bunch of people cheap bubblegum... but you don't know what country or factory it was made in. Everyone's like "OH MY GOD! Bubblegum! I LOVE BUBBLEGUM!" but because it's cheap, it's loaded with sorbitol, and it gives everyone in the office the shits for the rest of the day. A few days later, it repeats... fewer people are like "OH MY GOD! I LOVE BUBBLEGUM!" and the shits continue, but there are fewer. After a few times there are people that are like, "Jesus fuck! I know this bubblegum will give me the shits all day here at the office, and there's fecal matter in places it shouldn't be in this fucking stinking toilet room, but I fucking can't say no to this gum!" And then, but the end of a few months, it's only a few people talking about the free bubblegum at the office, and everyone is ignoring them. And everyone else is like "You wouldn't have these problems if you'd stop chewing the goddamn cheap as bubblegum!"

That's what all these leaks are like... months of anal leakage after repeated chewings of gobs of cheap bubblegum.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

The gap between the announcement and release of the Switch was a bit under 4-½ months. If the Switch 2 was announced this week, then we could still see a Q2 release, possibly late May or early June assuming the same announcement-to-release gap.

If the system was coming out this spring, I think we would have heard a lot more about it by now. You cannot hide a system being in mass production. I expect a holiday release.

There have been lots of leak in recent weeks, so they aren't hiding the system - all these leaks are happening likely because the system is in mass production now.

I like how people are freaking out saying it won't hit until the holidays just because we're all of 13 days into the year and Nintendo hasn't revealed it yet haha.

Ya'll people need to caaaaaalmmmm downnnnnn.

Reveal within the next few weeks, May/June launch date. Everything is still on track as expected. Nothing about the reveal not happening in the first two weeks of the year suggests further delays. In fact, the flood of the leaks suggest this thing is in mass production now as they get ready for a springtime launch.

:)

There's rumors of the Switch 2 being revealed later this week. It would be great if true!

I see some folks saying that there needs to be a certain gap in time to go from reveal to launch. The only thing that I think is relevant for the launch of the Switch 2 is production and shipping. As long as Nintendo has the units produced and on shelves, zero marketing will be required for this machine. Nintendo could unveil it in a dark room with three people in it and tell them to not whisper a word to anyone and it would be the hottest trending topic on social media within 5 minutes. The last time Nintendo was in this sort of power position was with the release of the Super Nintendo. I don't think we'll see a launch by early March, but it wouldn't surprise me and it wouldn't be a mistake if they announced it this month and released it a month and a half later.

They already confirmed the CES dummy fake. What else do you want?

So in the end it was January so everyone who was expecting right at the start of this year was correct. I guess now it's time to debate the launch date?
