I see some folks saying that there needs to be a certain gap in time to go from reveal to launch. The only thing that I think is relevant for the launch of the Switch 2 is production and shipping. As long as Nintendo has the units produced and on shelves, zero marketing will be required for this machine. Nintendo could unveil it in a dark room with three people in it and tell them to not whisper a word to anyone and it would be the hottest trending topic on social media within 5 minutes. The last time Nintendo was in this sort of power position was with the release of the Super Nintendo. I don't think we'll see a launch by early March, but it wouldn't surprise me and it wouldn't be a mistake if they announced it this month and released it a month and a half later.
