Who has done more for playstatio in 30 years...

Ken Kutaragi 10 62.50%

Jim Ryan 0 0%

Kaz Hiria 1 6.25%

Hiroki Totoki 0 0%

Ken Yoshida 0 0%

Herman Hulst 0 0%

Hideaki Nishino 0 0%

Shawn Layden 1 6.25%

Shuhei Yoshida 3 18.75%

Jack Tretton 1 6.25%

Total:16

Personally I wanna celebrate Shu, he is a gamer at heart and the reason I tried Bloodborne after watching him take on one of Bloodbornes end game chalice dungeon bosses which is one of the hardest in the game. He was president of SIE for a long while until he recently got put in charge of indies and I credit him with all the unique stuff that came out of Playstation during the PS3 and early Ps4 era. Sony would not be the same without him

He would make the perfect CEO in my opinion and bring Sonys first party towards a more Nintendo level of quality and general philosophy of fun games first above all else. I genuinely respect and admire this man above all else who have been at the top of playstation.

The poll above is limited on space so I'm choosing CEO's and popular names first.

All praise shu. 👏

Ken Kutaragi. Yes, he is to blame for some of the PS3's early failure. And that is not a good look, but he is "The Father of PlayStation" and a lot of the PS1 and PS2 successes.
Shout out to Shuhei Yoshida and Jack Tretton as well. Shawn Layden isn't the GOAT but he seems better than Jim Ryan. I think Jim Ryan's legacy will be high profits for PlayStation, but weak PR and some Anti consumer practices (but he's hardly alone in leaders for that).

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 159 million (was 73 million, then 96 million, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million, then 151 million, then 156 million, then 161 million)

PS5: 116 million (was 105 million, then 115 million, then 122 million)

Xbox Series X/S: 38 million (was 60 million, then 67 million, then 57 million. then 48 million. then 40 million)

Switch 2: 120 million (was 116 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

Ken. He is to the Playstation brand what Yamauchi is to Nintendo.

Why Jack Tretton? Didn't he nearly drive playstation off a cliff? Layden is certainly better than Jim Ryan, I think every on the list is better than Jim Ryan but yeah. Jim Ryan's Legacy is unfolding now Live service bombs and staining the PlayStation IP with failures.

Shu was riding high till Demon Souls came along and based on one hours play he decided against publishing Demon Souls outside Japan, a game  that through Japan Studios it had helped create,so that decision was later seen as throwing away a future with Sony in the driver's seat, for me when it comes to Playstation  Ken Kutaragi is the one, with Kaz second coming from using his experience with the  PS4 turn around and heading up the gaming side to change the direction away from some of the more traditional electronics that turned the good ship Sony around.

Um. Demon souls was a fumble but can ya blame him, that game was ridiculously unpolished shoddy and far, far from the Bethesda Oblivion killer they set out to create and that they expected. It's amazing that game got a release at all considering the jank of it compared to what Sony first party was putting out, do you know the history behind it and how Myazaki turned it from garbage into something he thought might work. It's stunning that game didn't go in the bin at some point.

Jim Ryan has done the most bad for Playstation. So glad he's no longer in charge.
