Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom out now on Switch

I think it looks fun but very simplistically. I can't imagine playing it.

I quite like what I see so far; seems like between the echo and bond abilities there's gonna be a lot of scope for creative problem solving.

They've also apparently solved one of my few gripes with BOTW/TOTK by allowing you to call your horse from anywhere in the overworld instead of having to do to a stable.

Oh, I did not realize until my daughter just mentioned a new game coming out, but the main character is Zelda.

I have no issue with that. Game looks fun.

We can breathe easy now, y'all. She can wield a sword.

Yep, a Swordfighter form has been revealed, as well as a brand new trailer detailing the "Still World" on the other side of the rifts:

Day 1. I will drop all other games I am playing and go to town.

It Still looks meh! Not the top down Zelda adventure I wanted at…all.

Just finished playing the first couple of hours.

So far, I'm liking it a lot. I was concerned that indirect combat would feel too passive and disempowering, but it's actually kinda fun to improvise through monster encounters with summons.

It's a really good marriage of classic and modern Zelda, with the open-ended problem solving of BOTW/TOTK but the world design and vibes of the older entries. It's clearly not a half-hearted throwaway either, there's clearly a lot of heart and soul put into it.

Anyone else also playing?

Waiting for mine to arrive.  How bad are the framerate drops?  I'm hoping the SW supports VRR so it doesn't go from 60 to 30.
