Thats ridiculous. Every joke can be offensive to someone. Just because you find something offensive doesnt mean it should be illegal. You are not supposed to take a comedian serious. Thats kinda the point. They say outrageous stuff and we as an audience laugh because we know its wrong. Its how dark comedy works. The fact that you think there will be chaos because people like dark jokes, then I think you are reading too much into it.

Also the fact that certain things should be considered above being made fun of is a very slippery slope.

Comedians are above everybody and everything, then. Boy, I wish I knew this before. I would have become a comedian for sure, and say whatever comes to my mind, making sure to carry the "it was just a joke" sign with me

No, comedians are being made fun of all the time. Especially the bad ones.

Imagine putting people in prison over a joke...

But don't worry about the racist comedians over here, I don't any racist comedian has ever gone to prison for being a racist (they are safe!). They usually end up paying big fines, instead. I think judges do consider the context in this situations. Cases of prison happens more in nowadays situations of racism, I think. When there is harassment and such

Yeah, its called a "hate crime" in other countries. In cases where there are actual victims.

Imagine choosing "Minority groups won't feel safe in my society... at least, spreading racism and bigotry is allowed!" over "I can't be racist or spread bigotry, not even under a so-called joke... at least, minority groups can feel safe in my society and are protected by the State in any case of prejudice!"

This is about comedy shows, not Trump rallies. Do you not understand the difference? Comedy is entertainment, typically the inappropriate sort that crosses a line - otherwise it’s lame.

When comedians like Jimmy Carr, Ricky Gervais, and Anthony Jeselnik are rattling on about sexually abusing children, do you actually think they’re advocating for that? Do you think Jimmy Carr’s dark comedy acts about genocide and Nazism are thinly veiled propaganda?

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I need to belly laugh and Comedians are so damn safe it's boring. Chuckle worthy isn't enough.

So if your hate speech is funny, it is alright, right?

I don't know these people and, based on the things you said here, I'm glad I don't

I dont think you know what a joke is. You seem to think its used to radicalize people.

What actually radicalizes many people is the internet. Maybe we should ban the internet just in case.

Yes. Especially some religious ones. You have supposed comedians of one faith ripping other religions to shreds. Without some valid context or tongue in cheek, just outright vulgar. All while keeping clear of their own religion, or just claiming to be atheist.

I'm part black, and so I get to make whatever jokes I like about us n*****s, and yes we love chicken and big butts

I also think that all of the big 3 monotheistic religions are trash.

The catholics protect the kiddy diddlers.
The protestants are lame and many think that they can tell others who they can live or how to live.
The jews are clannish and money oriented.i remember once when an old finance buddy of mine was getting upset at a mutual friend, a jew of all people. And he was getting upset bc the jew was buying index funds which leave little work and salary for actual workers in the financial business. So, we were telling him to shut up, and to0 quit telling a jew how to invest his $$$$.

Hopefully I haven't offended anybody too much! But at least I'm criticizing all three, so instead of it being against any one group, I'll denounce them all. Don't be bigoted, just hate everybody lmao.

I'm gonna give you a big gay kiss and your liberal ethics will prevent you from getting too mad, if so your friends and family will think you went to the dark side of political conservatism.

I'm gonna get my cowboy outfit on and dance around like a drunk ninny bc that sounds fun
