- Contra demo

- Something from Level-5

- Maybe the new SMTV version? (Probably multiplat)

I would have said Hi-Fi Rush, if I hadn't heard that it's skipping Switch 1, for Switch 2 instead.

Everything in my post checked out.

(The Level-5 game was Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time)

While i wasn't expecting much from a partner direct in the endlife cycle of the Switch, there are some great games there. Happy with some ports and SMTV V since i wanted to play it but haven't had the chance just yet.

Epic Mickey and Killer Instinct made it a W for me

It was ok, but nothing that screams for an immediate purchase. The SW Battlefront games are nice, but I already own them on PC (I have the original PC releases even), so there's no reason to get them other than finding them on the bargain bin. Endless Ocean was nice, but I feel that that kind of spectacle game will play better on emulator.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

A release date for Another Crab's Treasure was a nice surprise; I've had my eye on this one for a while. As someone who's always liked the idea of the Souls genre but couldn't cope with the frustration, a more accessible take like this is just what I've been looking for.

Grounded also looks like something I might enjoy; not a huge fan of survival games but I do like the "Honey I shrunk the kids" premise and I enjoyed Obsidian's other works so if the conversion's not rubbish I may grab it.

As a fan of the Wii era its also nostalgic to see the likes of Endless Ocean Luminance and World of Goo 2 bringing 2008 back.

Penny's Big Breakaway getting shadowdropped and the first look at the Switch versions of Tales of Kenzera and Kingdom Come Deliverance were the icing on the cake.

Considering this was a third party only Direct and how ancient the Switch is now, I feel this was overall a good showing.

Yeah Another Crabs Treasure, maybe Unicorn Overlord, SMT V Vengeance and other games I don't have on top of my head will make this first half of the year busy enough for me.

Pokemon Presents has been announced too, so maybe we'll have a Pokemon project or two to put in the schedule as well.

That's also without the notion that have yet to know anything about Nintendo's second half of the year plans, which will come up later this Spring prolly and I feel already the need to not overspend too much on game until the next system comes out.

Slower year for the Switch but by no means on stop
