Hint #50: Mario stepped down as referee for this title but the new guy clearly doesn't know the rules of the sport since a lot of your opponents blatantly cheat.

Hint #49: A lot of party members sacrifice themselves along to the way but most end up just fine.

Hint #48: Worst first day EVER! AGAIN!

Hint #47: Vampires, creepy dolls, monstrous babies, fish man, lycans and Magneto

Hint #46: Recently remaster (too recently to include in this edition) this rogue-like has survivors of a shuttle crash face impossible odds to to get off a very hostile planet.

#47 - Resident Evil Village maybe? Not sure about some of the clues because I nerver actually played it, just watched it being streamed a bit.

#46 - Risk of Rain?

Gonna go ahead and post my second batch:

45) Cyborg Ninja Origins

44) I rewatched nearly all the films about this character this year. The first three are still the best

43) These last two years have brought two new ways experience this game's story

42) My death count: 6457

41) You can throw eggs at the enemies, though it's a questionable strategy

#43 - The Last of Us?

#41 - Resident Evil 4?

Change YoY: +2   My Rating: 9.0 / 10

Uncharted 2 was the game that fulfilled the potential the first game had shown but hadn't quite managed to properly execute on yet. Everything here is better, the gameplay is more varied and better balanced, the story is better written, the characters have more depth to them, and the visuals were absolutely breathtaking at the time. Each subsequent game would continue to improve on the gameplay and visual side of the franchise, but it would take until Uncharted 4 that a game in the series outdid this one on the other elements. The set piece moments in Uncharted 2 were absolutely exceptional, with the ramping up intensity of the train level remaining a highlight of the whole series nearly 15 years after the game's release.

Even today, I can still go back and replay Among Thieves without any issues, and it feels like going back to meet old friends. Perhaps more than anything, the thing that truly carries these games are the natural interactions between the characters and the relationships that develop and evolve between them over the course of the series. Essentially, it's a playable adventure movie in the best possible way, and when it comes to certain aspects of the style it is yet to be outdone.

Wow, lots of guesses

44 Something Indiana Jones related? The Fate of Atlantis? The first trilogy that came to mind

41 Banjo Kazooie?

Nope to both

50 (incorrect guesses - Devil May Cry V)
- This was the first time a game in this series appeared on more than one home console (at the fifth time of asking).
- This was the final game released in this particular timeline, although canonically it occurs first. An ill fated reboot was released six years later, with any releases in this series since then being limited to remasters of earlier games.

48 (incorrect guesses - Tomb Raider III)
- This iteration of a highly influential title gives you the opportunity to travel to four previously unvisited countries.
- Whilst your journey through the game is mostly random, you’ll always end it by visiting the same three countries.

47
- The first boss is comically easy if you play the handheld version of this game.
- And the handheld version is what was picked to represent this title on a recently expanded compilation of games from this series.

45
- The protagonist has to enter people’s dreams in order to progress through this adventure.

Added the original Dragon Quest for the spot today. Delightful game!

Next up involves a plumber fighting spookables in a building that has different biomes (seemingly).

After that...

Clue - Another plumber game, but this time it has a world of user creativity.

Clue - One of the greatest RTS games of all time. It's a fantasy game.

Clue - A fantastic JRPG game that gets a lot of hate for its female character designs, causing people to overlook the very touching story between a boy and his grandpa.

Clue - The best Assassin's Creed game ever made. You shouldn't need any other clue.

That should get my 50-40 spots all done (unless I move things around after playing Overwatch 2 and SM Wonder).

Gonna take a stab at all of these:

Mario Maker?

Warcraft III? (most certainly fits)

Ehh, Xenoblade 2?

Assassin's Creed... 2?

MM and XC2 are correct. You were close on the other two, Warcraft 2 and Ass Creed 4 were my answers.

#50: Devil May Cry V

I'm afraid not, no.

46. Plants vs Zombies
I'd always enjoyed tower defense games, as there's just something satisfying about prepping, building and then watching your foes taken down by your loyal minions. But a lot of them felt very plain in presentation despite the enjoyable gameplay loop. Plants vs Zombie injected tower defense with a ton of personality that immediately hooked me and still makes me come back and replay the campaign every 2 or 3 years.
