Forums - Sales Discussion - Famitsu Sales: Week 45, 2023 (Oct 30 - Nov 05)

I did think there was a chance this would happen. Pretty amusing. Hopefully the new PS5 model has a huge launch to make up for some of these 'wasted' weeks.

this Sony strategy was a disaster in my opinion. You just don't do that.

It is a flawless procedure. With the new model on shelves this week, nobody, absolutely nobody, is going to sell the "big" model anymore. These would be dead stock for Sony. It makes perfect sense to clear out the old model.

Sure it triggers "Sony is doomed" contributions, no surprise here.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder has the 11th highest 3rd week on Nintendo Switch.

When does the momotaro dentetsu sequel arrive on switch?

Let's just say what everyone is thinking but no one has said.... The xbox beat PS4+5 combined, trying hard not to laugh as NO ONE would have ever thought this would happen... but here we are....

PS5 sales in Japan this month have been so odd, but likely won't matter much on their 25M shipment figure. Guess they sold more than expected of the old model.
SM2 doing close to 100k in Japan and still on top10 isn't that bad.

Some people in twitter were really believing Xbox was back to outselling PS5 as if Xbox suddenly accelerate or PS5 isn't wanted anymore over there =p
