Sweet. I love that it will be live action. Hopefully a Metroid live action in the future as well.

Miyamoto is on board, so he wont let it become that I think.

While it was a decently fun film the Mario movie was already pretty bad as an adaptation. This sounds worse.
Also in all seriousness if Link talks I'm out by default.

The first minute of this is probably the closest we'll ever get to a good Zelda adaptation.

As I commented in the article; I thought they would go for an animated movie like the Mario movie. Live-action is risky. It can either be absolutely awesome, or extremely cheesy. Costumes, sets and effects need to be top notch in a fantasy genre film like this, or else it will be terrible. It should therefore have a huge budget. It will also be interesting to see how they will tackle the issue of cramming a story with the feel of a full Zelda game in a single movie.
Odd. With all the borrowing Zelda does from studio Ghibli movies, it would have made sense to make an animated movie, done by Hayao Miyazaki. Even though he retired 3 times already, no doubt he would still be up for another last final movie :)

I know you said "most", but the fact they made the first two Tobey Spider movies (even the third has better values than most of the MCU crap) put them on very high regard in my personal book.
INB4 someone says that "the spideys are now all part of the MCU, huehuehuehue, blehhhrrghhh, I'm thirty and live in my parents basement".

Hell has frozen over.
I bet they will cast Hollywood It Boy Timothee Chalamet as Link. Or this being Sony maybe Tom Holland.
