PS5 still has an outside chance of selling 3 million this year.

Wow. All the systems HW selling real well this week.

And Switch SW doing amazing. Nearly everything top 10 increasing WoW and Pikmin having a great third week hold.

It's almost like the Switch is racing to catch the DS in sales and is speeding up sales the past few months to get there sooner haha. Switch knocking out 70/80/90k in year 7 in the summer(!) like it ain't no thang. Switch last lost a week YoY to itself 15 weeks ago!!

Switch is only 193k behind last year right now. Looks likely it'll win YoY the next two weeks, then finally lose pretty significantly YoY for four weeks in a row (W 35-38) then for the 8 weeks after that (39-46) it will probably at least keep up YoY but with Mario Wonder launching during that time it may gain a decent amount YoY those weeks. It'll probably be 350k-400k behind total YoY coming into the holiday season on W47. Last year's holiday was fairly weak so let's say it shouldn't be down a ton, if it averages 140k those weeks it'd just lose an additional 134k YoY during the holidays. So it is looking like it may end up the year only ~500k less than last year, putting the Switch at 4.3m in its 7th calendar year in Japan! Which would be wayyyy above expectations coming into the year. I think plenty of people were predicting an entire million less than that. I know I was predicting 400k-500k less than that.
That would put it right at 32m at end of the year, with just under a million to go to beat DS which would easily happen Spring quarter next year.

All HW continue to sell abnormally high.

If the yen doesn't recover vs other currencies, the NSW could definitely beat last year's holiday. It is entirely possible that the NSW beats 2022 this year.

PS5 also could set a record for Sony home consoles in a year, and the same goes for XB.

Ah yes, the 'random boost with no major new releases' week. Only outdone by the 'significant uptick in the second week' trend for Switch so far this year.

Doing over 90k in a random August week is very much a Japanese Switch 2023 moment. It's really cool how much both it and the PS5 have done surprisingly well here this year.

3DS did more than 3 times what it sold last week.

2023 is seriously tailgating and flashing it's headlights at 2022 by now

Pikmin slaying , im proud of Miyamoto , he deserves it

Strong hold for Pikmin, Zelda, and Natsu-Mon.
Switch is now over 660k above 2019, and less than 200k behind 2022, YTD.

At this rate Switch should be able to pull of another 5 million year. Which would be more than PS5 sales especially if we factor in the China factor.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

The fact Switch could do theorically better than it's full on second year is just the think that would've sent people flying back in January lol.

Meantime, Switch software experience an actual growth in some parts while Pikmin 4 holds to a strong 3rd week on top !
