I'll see once I get there because from what I could glimpse on the map of the Special World. It's only being gated by a 16 Wonder Seeds requirement.

But plz ! Let it not be what you just said !!

Thats not the final one unfortunately.

*Sigh* should've known 😔

My 99% completionist attitude will mean I'll prolly never touch this so called Champion's Road again lol

Anywoo, gonna aim to finish World 5 today.

Switch Friend Code : 3905-6122-2909

So just to go over my experience.

I give Super Mario Bros Wonder a 97 out of 100.

Took me 12 hours

When comparing it to the rest of the series I played...

Super Mario Bros. (NES): 80
Super Mario Bros. 2 (NES): 73
Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES): 92
Super Mario World (SNES): 93
Super Mario World (NSO): 94
Super Mario 64 (N64): 90
Super Mario 64 (NS): 90
Super Mario 64 DS (DS): 86
Super Mario Galaxy (Wii): 89
Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii): 95
Super Mario 3D Land (3DS): 90
Super Mario 3D World (WiiU): 94
Super Mario Odyssey (NS): 98
Super Mario Bros Wonder (NS): 97
Super Mario Land (GB): 63
Super Mario Land 2 Six Golden Coins (GB): 80
Super Mario Bros Deluxe (GBC): 82
Super Mario All Stars (SNES): 100
New Super Mario Bros. (DS): 80
New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Wii): 90
New Super Mario Bros 2 (3DS): 84
Super Mario Advance (GBA): 76
Super Mario Advance 2 Super Mario World (GBA): 93
Super Mario Advance 3 Yoshi's Island (GBA): 97
Super Mario Advance 4 Super Mario Bros. 3 (GBA): 92

+Great level design, great gameplay, visuals, music, sound, overall production is great

-Some levels could be unforgiving and depending on NSO/Online is needed unless you dont mind re-trying a million times.

I'd hate to see the game with no online, I mean it can be doable but the last few wonder seeds you'll need for the main story will come down to the harder levels.

Also I love the push for a story/character interaction in the beginning of each world and at the end of each world. Its not much but I still appreciate that they at least try to add more character development/interaction and hopefully more Mario games will have that in the future specifically for the 2D ones I mean.

Edit: Actually now that I think of it...this has been the shortest amount of time it took me to beat a game that I bought not only year 1 but in just general since...Paper Mario for N64 back in 2000 (which I beat the game in three days with about 21 hours).

9 days after release - not bad.

You might do it way faster than me though. Theres just something about the last level in Mario games that give me a hard time. I get frustrated and forget about established mechanics and I start making stupid mistakes. Most people Ive seen have done it faster than me.

We finished the game today, or rather saw the end credits. The special stages are near impossible in co-op, definitely way past the fun-challenge ratio. There are more hidden stages we missed yet probably more frustration than fun to be found there.

Anyway great finale. Great game overall, but Oddessey and Mario Galaxy remain on top for me.

One of the most brilliant things about this game is quite easy to overlook; the way it manages to convey the rules/mechanics of each Wonder without ever needing tutorials or prompts, just purely through visual design and game feel.

Some of these can change the gameplay quite drastically, but the game never has to explain itself in words, because its all just so effortlessly intuitive. It's utter genius but so masterfully done that it's easy to not even notice.

I am enjoying my time with it so far. But boy do I miss turn based multiplayer. Bring it back Nintendo.

Super Mario World (SNES): 97
Super Mario World 2 (SNES): 98

Super Mario 64 (N64): 93
Super Mario Sunshine (GCN): 94

Super Mario Galaxy (Wii): 85

Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii): 89

Super Mario 3D Land (3DS): 80

Super Mario 3D World (WiiU): 98

Super Mario Odyssey (NS): 99

Super Mario Bros Wonder (NS): 98

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe (NS): 70

Overall, very solid experience! I would certainly rank among the contenders for best Mario game (although I think Odyssey still clutches it out…just barely though).

Tried Super Mario Wonder last weekend and noticed something strange. I seem to now consider Mario a game for kids. I love a lot of Mario games and revisit them often. But for the first time trying this game I was thinking "My nephew would really like playing this" instead of "I really like playing this".
The game is without a doubt full of innovative imagination and varied gameplay and I am sure it will gather a new generation of fans and place itself among other classics in the series. I just felt that the randomness removed any clear rules making it a bit of fantastical mess.

And how do I strangle that annoying caterpillar? Give me a damn Nintendo Zapper to obliterate him and feed him to the nearest bird.

Just finished the game.
Holy moly what a ride. Of all the hundreds of games I've ever played, this one stands out as one of the most joyous and imaginative. The sheer wealth of ideas is astounding, and the whole thing is polished to a celestial shine.
It stands tall alongside the best of the series, and I don't say that lightly as I hold Mario Bros 3 and World in very high regard.
2D Mario is back, and after nearly 40 years, he's still among the best in the business.
