Optimistic about Hinojosa and Goodwin, the stances they have taken throughout their campaigns are broadly popular, hopefully they can actually implement them and stop this from being a one off election

This might be one possible explanation for why Cindy Hyde-Smith is struggling. When she was asked a question about the soaring price of beef, she had an absolutely tone-deaf response on the level of HRC's "basket of deplorables" gaffe. Colom definitely capitalized on it in his ad campaign.
A lot of people are quoting CHS (and this ad) in the comments on her official FB page.
