I feel like all this gerrymandering could bite the GOP royally in the ass.

As in, they are spreading their advantages in each district thinner to get more people elected, but they now risk to get all washed away by a blue wave as the previously safe red seats could now be not so safe anymore due to watering down their advantage to take over some blue seats.

Ilhan Omar is in a mess not sure why people trusted her. It is clear her hate against some like Nick was because she didn't want to get caught herself. Like her multi million 'Winery'

There's plenty of reason to hate Nick Shirley, if that's who you're talking about.

The investigation into daycare fraud has been ongoing since 2022.

Republicans are politicizing this and using it as grounds to attack the Somali community in Minnesota, and justify cutting funding from blue states.

Not to mention, there are serious problems with the way Nick has gone about things. You generally can't just show up to a daycare, and look around to see if they have kids.

I've been thinking this too.

Oklahoma - 5 house seats, 35% Democratic electorate, zero Democratic representation
Arizona - two Democratuc Senators. The narrow Republican majority gerrymandered us from a 5-4 Democratic majority to a 6-3 Republican majority.

Democrats lack strategy.  They should have been more than prepared to return the favor in their states.  But largely, they arent.  I still think the DNC is run by morons who can't think.  If they could think, they wouldn't have run Hillary or Biden a second time.

It's not that unlikely we'll see Hispanics at D+40 in the midterms. It alone would make the most recent Texas and Florida gerrymanders moot.

And if the national scenario is anywhere close to D+15 like the recent AtlasIntel poll, then, well...

From 2022? So basically the ones in Charge are incompetent and should be replaced or they knew about it and barely did anything to gain votes; is their an another possible reason?

Nick only got huge because the first reaction was to hate on him instead of doing something about the issue.

It is the same like my earlier post about the general population knowing about the crimses like drugdealers in their neighbourhood but giving up on it because not much gets done about it, it is clear in this case that the general population in the neightbourhoods knew something was wrong but don't report it because of fear, just giving up etc..

I don't know what you think you think you know about the Minnesota daycare fraud, but it's largely not some coordinated thing. It's a lot of random people defrauding a few different programs such as Medicaid, Minnesota's CCAP (Child Care Assistance Program).

It's not like a singular crime organization embezzling the government.

2022: Dozens Charged in $250 Million COVID Fraud Scheme

Medicaid program for disabled adults was 'vulnerable to fraud,' federal prosecutors say

Nick Shirley got huge by spreading misinformation. Daycares aren't in the habit of letting some random guy walk in and get pictures of kids.

What did state investigators find when they investigated the day cares in the videos?

State investigators conducted unannounced visits at the day cares in the viral video over the past six months as part of the typical licensing and auditing process, according to Tikki Brown, the commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Children, Youth and Families. An analysis of publicly available inspection records by The 19th found that most of the centers had unannounced inspections as recently as October, November or December.

After the video was posted, investigators from the state Office of Inspector General conducted compliance visits to nine of the 10 centers in the video (one of the centers in the video has been closed for several years and has not received funds in that time). They found normal operations and children at all but one, which had not yet opened for the day. Further investigations are being conducted into four of the nine facilities, but the state has not said what exactly it’s investigating.

Most of the centers in the video did have numerous state licensing violations against them regarding cleanliness, staff supervision and some recordkeeping around immunizations and allergies. But none of the violations against the centers were regarding fraud, according to state enforcement records.

MAGA seems increasinglty to be coalescing around Marco Rubio as a successor to Trump, rather than J.D. Vance. Guess they're getting the idea that Vance is about as popular as genital herpes.

On the topic of Nick Shirley, he is a classic example of the weaponazation of using misinformation on social media. Social media is a cesspool of misinformation that every con person has figured out is a lucrative market to exploit. Since no one does any real research and just knee jerk on every bit of information fed to their bias, all you need to do is feed that bias and you can exploit your way to money.

In this week's primaries:

Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) got primaried by Julia Letlow and John Fleming. Cassidy was one of seven Republicans who voted to convict Trump in his second impeachment, and Trump campaigned against him. Louisiana under Jeff Landry replaced "jungle" primaries" with a partisan primary system.

Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) got primaried by Ed Gallrein. Massie has recently crossed the aisle and spoken out against Trump. Trump had Pete Hegseth campaign with Gallrein.
