VGChartz November 2022 US estimates BEFORE adjustments:

  1. XS: 1.25M
  2. PS5: 1.14M
  3. NS: 1.05M

VGChartz November 2022 US estimates AFTER adjustments:

  1. PS5: 1.14M
  2. NS: 1.09M
  3. XS: 1.08M

PS5 remains the same, NS adjusted up, and XS adjusted down.

Year-over-year change in sales:

PS5: 0.44M -> 1.14M (+159%)
XS: 0.69M -> 1.08M (+57%)
NS: 1.10M -> 1.09M (-1%)

What average prices do you figure for this to be possible? With the Switch being second in dollar sales.

About the same for both. Just over $300 each. $250 Series S deal brought it way down for Xbox Series as it is likely around 80% of Xbox sales.

According to Benji, Series S pushed a lot of units during BF. So im thinking

PS5 1.3m
X/S 1.2m
NSW 1.1m

Fair enough, if there were Series S aplenty that could be possible. Certainly should be the majority since it was probably way more stocked up heading into the month.

To be honest the report had me assuming the Series would be under a million though, figure they might have mentioned it if it was neck and neck with the Switch or saw significant growth as well, but it wasn't mentioned at all. But maybe that's just reading too much into it.

Entirely possible. NPD doesn't provide enough data to really know for sure. We do have PS5 up by FAR a lot more than XS compared to last year. I wish NPD provided as much data as the UK monthly report as Chris provides total consoles sold, the order, and how much each console is up/down by %. That is enough to get really close to accurate.

Yeah I was thinking the same

I might tweak some more. But that is what Machina and I came up with. As I said before I would LOVE for NPD to provide more data.

Not sure about that Series S 80% split. Didn't Adobe report the "Series X" to be the 2nd hottest Black Friday item (and the only console among the top 5 items)? Or did they lump in Series S with the X?

It seems we don't have any indications of YoY performance for the Switch.

Switch was around 1.1m last year, so if Switch has maintained that number, that would be extremely impressive.
