Who will win Super Bowl LVII?

Buffalo Bills 4 40.00%

Baltimore Ravens 0 0%

Tennessee Titans 1 10.00%

Kansas City Chiefs 2 20.00%

Philadelphia Eagles 1 10.00%

Green Bay Backers 0 0%

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 0 0%

Los Angeles Rams 0 0%

Other (AFC) 0 0%

Other (NFC) 2 20.00%

Total:10

Since the Eagles own the tiebreaker against the Vikings, they only need to win one more game to get the top seed in the NFC. And since the Bills and the Bengals both own the tiebreaker against the Chiefs whoever wins the Monday Night Football game in two weeks between the Bills and the Bengals will more than likely win the top seed in the AFC.

If the Jaguars win out, they'll not only make the playoffs, they would actually win their division and get a home game!

Except the Chiefs currently have a better record than the Bengals. So even if the Bengals beat the Bills on MNF, if the Chiefs win out, they'd be the #1 seed, while the Bengals would get the #2 seed since they'd own their tiebreaker over the Bills, who would then drop to the #3 seed.

Yeah, I was wrong about the Bengals but if they finish the season by winning their last three games, they probably will have no problem beating the Chiefs in Kansas City.  Also, the Eagles win one more game they will set a new franchise record for wins in the regular season their previous high was 13 games which they did twice.

It probably would be better if the Jaguars make it instead of the Titans since they could actually win a playoff game.  The Titans are too beat up they are going to be one and done like last year if they make the playoffs.

The Titans are definitely imploding.  My brother who lives in Nashville had won tickets to their home game against the Jaguars on December 11th and invited me to go.  So, I took the road trip to go see him for the weekend and the game.  Tennessee was dominating the 1st quarter of that game and were outgaining the Jags in yardage early on by 179 yards to 37 yards.  Then, Tannehill and the offense began repeatedly shooting themselves in the foot with turnovers (1 interception and 3 lost fumbles).  The first Titans fumble occurred inside their own 20 and set up the Jags first TD of the game.  Tannehill's interception gave the Jags the ball at midfield to set up the Jaguars next score, which was a field goal.  After the Titans defense held the Jaguars to a 2nd field goal, their offense fumbled again leading to another Jaguar TD.  At that point, Jacksonville had taken the lead on the scoreboard 20-14, converting 3 Titans turnovers in the span of 5 possessions into 17 points.  Momentum had completed shifted over to them as they proceeded to run away with the game in the 2nd half.  No disputing that the Jaguars aren't finally looking good now, but the Titans definitely lost that game due to numerous self-inflicted wounds.

Pretty sad that a thread about a sports competition hosted in a cruel country gets over 300 posts, while an amazing NFL season can't even get to 50 posts after all this time.

But I suppose the controversy attracts people more than the currently controversy free NFL.

Football has always outpaced handegg on VGC, but of course both kinds of threads are down in activity by a tremendous margin. The World Cup threads of the past would get 2-3k posts over the span of ~6 weeks compared to 1.5-2k posts for ~6 months of NFL. The ratio is much worse for the NFL thread this time, but the lack of a prediction league has a serious negative impact here.

But yes, controversy boosted the WC thread. It wasn't about Qatar though, but rather the weird idea that countries from Africa and Asia were supposed to take revenge on countries of the West for the colonialism of the past. That would be like discussing illegal immigration in the USA in the NFL thread all of a sudden.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.

The NFL has scheduled most games of this week on Saturday, but free-TV over here only shows Eagles vs. Cowboys on that day. Sunday remains the main day for broadcasting, so I'll be able to watch the Packers' last gasp effort on TV tomorrow.

Good TD by Lamb.
