#37 is obviously a Journey to the West reference, and the most likely candidate for video game adaptation you mean would be Enslaved: Odysseyto the West.

#36 is maybe Tomb Raider reboot.

Okay new hints. #41 was guessed by coolbeans; Star Wars: Dark Forces, here's a new one for #42 and the first for #40.

#42: Your callsign seems to assume you're still a rookie, even though you've already been a pilot in a serious adventure in the previous game.

Hint 2: I think that's why there's a level where you have to listen to you instructor, follow [his] lead and do as [he] says.

Hint 3: Though on the other hand you only get this training because you're (in the story anyway, the gameplay is exactly the same) not familiar with the fighters of the Imperial Bucketheads, and you need to pilot the enemy craft to infiltrate an enemy base after you also have a bit of a chase through a jungle like in the sixth movie.

#41: This game introduced many new technical features, including multiple floors and the ability to look and shoot up or down. Guessed by coolbeans - Star Wars: Dark Forces

#40: This game on hardware that was assumed to be pretty underpowered, was revealed along with a teaser showing the lighting effects around a swinging lamp. Guessed by Mnementh - Resident Evil: Revelations

Wow, those were some hints . Great game though, loved the reboot trilogy. And dare I say it, new Lara > old Lara.

Fast. Correct of course, I figured maybe I'd talk about something a little more obscure that ships and water, but I guess the lamp was pretty easy as well.

First thing I thought on pretty underpowered hardware, because Revelations was pretty impressive technically. But besides looks, it is also a good game.

Ships as a hint I used in the past. Which you got. Or Rol. Or Slarvax. I think ships are a good giveaway for the game.

#43: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

The best SNES game. Still holds up wonderfully to this day in most regards, especially thanks to it's beautiful artstyle.

A very hard game with some of the most difficult dungeons in the series. Not so.much because of the enemies but because I got lost all the time. The level design is sometimes maybe a bit to intricate. That said I liked them all alot nonetheless.

The overworld is fun to explore to find all the heart pieces and other stuff. Although I mostly just tried to get to the next dungeon, which could be as hard as to get through the dungeon itself. The dungeon bosses were extremely hard at times.

My only complaint would be something that stems from archaic design choices from back then. I was able to enter the fight against Ganon without having the silver arrows that you need in the last phase of the fight to beat him.

Obviously I wasn't able to beat him because of that and was utterly confused, because nowhere in the game did it tell me that I needed something else, what it was nor where to get it. So I had to look it up. Nowadays developers actually think this stuff through and there would have been a switch that you can only activate with one of these arrows to enter the fight. That is the only thing that shows that the game is not from this century.

It says alot that I have only one point of criticism. The game is magnificent.

I played the game on the Switch through NSO. Being able to rewind the game at any point was very helpful with how hard some of the bosses were.

A Link to the Past is a brilliant adventure that stood the test of time better than almost anything else out there.

This is the second Zelda game on my list.

#36 Could be Okami?

#38 That's completely subjective but here's what i think:

1.  Zelda BOTW

2. Horizon Zero Down

3. Splatoon 2

4. One good game i don't recall

So my answer is: 5. Super Mario Odyssey

God #42 still bugs me b/c of how many choices there are.  Star Wars: X-Wing, Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance, Star Wars: TIE Fighter.  Any of those? lol

Heh, it’s funny how the series of my game always gets forgotten about, buried under the Rogue Squadron and the X-Wing series. So sadly I still have to say no.

You are close though, my game is from the X-Wing/TIE Fighter era. There’s really only one series left in this category, and when you remember that one, you’ll be right!
