Forums - Sales Discussion - Global Hardware June 27-July 3 - Switch Sales Top 88 Million

I guess Switch shippments by 30 June are about 90 million, which is insane. We'll see in 2 weeks.

But that mean, 10+ million being guaratee for the holiday quarter, 100 million is already confirmed for 2021.

Around the Network

PS5 will cross 10 million and Xbox Series will cross 6 million in the same week most likely. 16 million total sales for these two consoles combined is pretty good at this point imo.

@SKMBlake In order for Nintendo to reach their forecast for this FY, they pretty much have to be over 100M by the end of the year. Specifically, they even have to be several million above the Wii & PS1.

Well, I guess the whole "Switch is only up yoy in 2020 because of COVID" theory has been disproven

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

PS5 and XBS sales looking very healthy. Great that Switch can be so dominant but both of the console twins have very healthy sales as well, no systems is faltering.

Switch looking like it'll finish the year around 105 million, which sets it up nicely to easily move into 3rd place all-time by end of 2022.

Around the Network

PS5's weekly sales are getting to close to the Switch's weekly sales in Europe. With how dominant Sony is there, I'm not surprised.

As mentioned in the OP, the Switch has now passed 88 million lifetime sales and is now less than 2 million units away from 90 million - Which it should do within the next 5-8 weeks.

The PS4 itches closer to 116 million lifetime sales, which it should do in the next 9-12 weeks.

PS5's numbers in Europe are fantastic. There are still stock issues but I have seen some people getting a PS5 more easily than before !

Xbox Series ahead of PS5 in North America for the third week running. The question now is, can it catch up and reclaim the region in the long term?

This is a rly interesting time bcuz I rly cannot tell. Xbox Series X & S are much easier to find rn so Idk if its actually the more valued one in the US rn or if its just bcuz of lack of PS5s here
