While I am pretty tired of Nintendo endlessly repackaging old games on Switch, at least in this case it's a game that will hopefully be better appreciated now; it got a lot of undeserved bashing in its day because motion controls and linearity were considered uncool in 2011.

The worst and lamest zelda.

And take Aonuma Style. Lost hope for Botw2.

Still my favorite Zelda game of all time and a game I feel gest bashed and hated far too often. Does it have its flaws? Yes. But it's still got that charm, awe, and 'feel' that makes a Zelda game, a Zelda game. And the motion controls are actually the best part about the game.

Even though I prefer traditional controls, I truly believe that when you have that one game, which brings out the best in motion controls and executes them to the best of its abilities, that there is no better way to play a video game. Skyward Sword was that game for me. It's the game the Wii was built for. And it's the game that made the Legend of Zelda my favorite Nintendo franchise.

And the fact that it is getting put on the Switch right when the system is still at its peak makes me very happy because it means that a lot of people will get to experience the game firsthand and hopefully it'll get the praise and recognition it deserves.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but it looks like Skyward Sword HD is running in 60fps.

This made me so happy. I know it's quite a low bar, but improving the framerate on remasters isn't something I was expecting from Nintendo. So, Skyward Sword will be the first ever 60fps 3D Zelda. Sign me up! Hopefully they fix the annoying treasure pickup dialogs, other than that I can't ask for anything. I like this game.

Slightly disappointing to not have BotW 2 news, but like... I really want BotW 2, but I already know it's coming. I didn't know SSHD was coming, so I'd rather have it finally happen. Been hoping for it for so long now.

Hopefully BotW 2 still happens this year as most people expect, but I'm not holding my breath.

I kind of thought I was looking at regular Wii footage and expected to see like a transition to a much cleaner image, but then I realized that this was already it. Bit of a bummer, it’s like Twilight Princess; looks the same but with higher resolution. At least with Wind Waker they improved all kinds of things, most notably of course the lighting.

60fps trumps all that in my eyes. Not like Skyward Sword didn't already look beautiful anyway.

They implemented an option for standard controls as well.

I really love this game, it's my third favorite Zelda game after Botw and OoT, I'll be replaying the game once again.

Skyward Sword "HD" is going to be $60 isn't it... yeah I'll see if I can get a deal on it then. Hopefully this isn't all Nintendo has in store for Zelda's 35th.

Good for the ones that haven't played it yet. Personally this does nothing for me.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Nintendo has run out of Wii U ports and now going back into Wii ports. By the time we get to the 10th generation, we will be seeing Remastered N64 ports.

Despite that, I disliked this game. I beat it twice to try to give it a better shot. Was worse the 2nd time around. This game had so much filler in the 2nd half it really destroyed the pace of the darn game.

At least now Nintendo has no choice but to remake Zelda 1,2 and 3 since they ran out of Zelda games to remake.
(Watch us get the Sprirt Tracks instead now)

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems!
