So the Spanish at least are becoming more willing to buy hardware without new software?

Love and tolerate.

I guess Game Pass has something to do. Also, digital sales are higher now.

The other Spanish tracking service is saying that the PS5 was at 48k and digital would put these totals past 2013.

I'm glad Demon Souls and Miles Morales sold very well at launch. And there is the possibility of several of those games being sold as PS4 titles that person will get free upgrade.

You have to consider Backward compatibility and Gamepass/PS+ collection

Objectively speaking, the X launch lineup is probably the worst in recent gaming gens so those numbers don't come to a shock to me, BUT, as has been pointed many times BC and GP/GWG are something to note.

PS5 launch titles are much better than PS4 and PS3, still the SW sales on the tracking is lower even with HW selling more, so GP, BC, Crossgen free upgrades, Digital, etc are likely the culprits for both consoles.

I mean, physical game sales are down, which is expected, but that doesn't mean less games are being played. Digital game sales are likely higher than physical overall, especially during the current climate. I wouldn't be surprised if almost half of those buying an Series X/S also sub to Game Pass.

Digital is much higher and of course pandemic. Would not be surprised of a 50% digital ratio so 66k PS5 games, 17k XB games. Interestingly, that means XB is still in decline in SP and perhaps rest of EU as well.

I think my prediction that XB will sell even less in EU is going to be right.
