May I suggest for future updates that the community be asked for feedback on appearance matters *before* the rollout? It's tough when working in a closed group to view your work objectively. Posting a few images of the look as it was coming along may have saved everyone a lot of work that is now possibly going to go unused (speaking of the overload of graphics on the homepage).

So https://www.vgchartz.com/index_04272018.php is gone now?

The new frontpage is kind of overwhelming, it's so busy compared to most modern sites.

What did that used to show and how did you used to access it?

It showed the old frontpage.

It showed the old frontpage.

Where was it located and why would one access the front page using that, instead of just https://www.vgchartz.com/ or clicking on the logo?

I expect the reason it's 'not found' is because none of us knew about it and so it didn't get brought over.

Well, I used it because I liked the old front page better than the new one.

Site (outside the slightly delayed aforementioned front page) is loading very quickly for me now. If anything, feels faster than ever. Obviously expect some issues whenever you do an update like this, but you seem to be making good progress.

Edit: Actually seems like my internet in general is faster than usual for some reason. Site is probably running at normal speed.

Can you guys fix the CSS? On an ultrawide monitor and the #mainContainerSub has a max width of 1200px for some bizarre reason.

Can't speak for owners of ultrawide monitors, but not too wide please! Wider containers mean longer lines, which in turns makes it harder for eyes to track the beginning of the next line. That is, when lines are too long, reading gets harder. I (the owner of a 23.5" 1080p screen) currently have a userstyle which sets the width to 1000px because 1200px is already uncomfortably long.

Well at the moment the site's contents are only occupying about a third of my screen which is annoying. It's like watching an old format film on an HD TV today and you get those stupid black bars on the side.

Okay it's night-and-day faster now than it was yesterday for me. The weird inconsistency seems to have gone too, every page loads in like 5-10 seconds. Good work guys, much appreciated.

I was mulling over the fact that my front page was white, while all the screenshots were in much prettier black. Then I found out you can actually change betwenn color schemes on the little profile menu. Nice touch!

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
