God of War, Kratos rarely is the God of War in most games. Hell the first game was about killing the God of War.

Well in the first game his mission is to kill the God of War so the title makes sense. For the sequels he IS the God of War so those makes sense even if he is banished and falls out f favor with the rest of the Gods. He has declared war on the gods.

The reboot title does not make any sense without a subtitle. I hate that they just reused the original title for that game.

Was "resident evil" a phrase before the game? I tried to Google it but I'm coming up with nothing. I do remember a quote from an old Outkast song from the ATLiens album that says: "The resident evil specialised in misconstruing"

I always assumed it meant the evil people in power or something like that. The game and the song both came out in 1996, though.

I've always interpreted it as an evil that's always present. So nothing linked to a residence but more something that resides within.

Actually he isn't the God of war in most of part 2 when he tries to travel back in time. Also once he drops to the underworld in God of War 3 he needs to drain Hades soul to use the hyperion gate. So for 95% of the game he isn't the God of war in GOW 3 either. After he drained Hades is soul he is a god though. But I doubt he is actually the God of war, more like the God of resurection.

Waifu Uncovered. They still have strategically placed objects covering certain areas, so that's not really uncovered, now is it?

A-hem...

On the Legend of Zelda, my view of it is that The Legend of Zelda is a huge, epic work where Zelda in her various forms is at the center of it, and each individual game is like a book or chapter of the epic as a while, including Link's Awakening, where Marin is the de facto Zelda. Look, it's been The Legend of Zelda for 34 years, and we're just not calling it The Legend of Link.
