So it comes with the stand and it's pre-installed in the vertical position? Cool, then I'm good to go straight out of the box. I'm a vertical type of guy. Ladies..

What's with these so called heating/noise issues?? My launch ps4 is quiet. Or was it a ps4 pro problem?

And that doesn't count the hundreds of reposts for other languages and discussions.

Some original PS4 are really loud (mine currently is) while some pro are also very loud (mine isn't) guess it is just a game of luck.

My launch PS4 sounded like jet engine on big games, even when it was new. My PS4 slim is quiet though.

My lauch year PS4 is also not "loud" (fans can be noticeable at times), but it seems that a many PS4s and PS4 Pros get a lot louder over the time, which I suspect is mainly due to the thermal paste being badly applied and drying out, but some say they successfully fought the problem with a different fan model or by cutting holes into the plastic for better ventilation and some simply have too much dust building up in their consoles.

Sony seems to have reacted to the complaints and made sure to implement several methods (capped max power draw achieved with variable clocks; large cooling system; dust traps/access to main fan for easier cleaning; liquid metal layer to conduct heat between APU and cooler, which loses at lot less thermal conductivity when drying out) so that an overwhelming majority of PS5 units never have any noise problems.
